Hey there, I’m Tom, or BlueGordon 04. I’ve been making videos for many years and you may have seen some on my old channel, NWR Studios.
Since 2020, I’ve been using this new channel to present my new style of filmmaking, and to show my appreciation for ‘The Railway Series’ by The Rev. W. Awdry and the first 7 seasons of ‘Thomas the Tank Engine and Friends’ by Britt Allcroft and David Mitton.
On this channel, will be remakes of classic episodes, behind-the-scenes footage, original stories and much more.
Thanks for checking out the channel, if you enjoy my videos, consider subscribing, and leaving a comment or a like on a video. If you want to see what I’m working on currently, check out my Twitter account and don’t hesitate to drop me a line or ask me a question if you have one, I’m always keen to help someone out or provide someone with an answer related to my content.
Thanks again for checking out the channel and for the support I’ve received so far!
Amazing remake! A tip: Ever thought about using them Mabeee bluetooth batteries? With your phone, you can make trains stop and go without the need of fishing wire.
This was such a great look at your film making process! I absolutely loved this, the amount of effort you put into the remake Tom was incredible. Hats off to you, as a fellow shot for shot remake enthusiast, I relate so heavily to your pain with some of the shots. Would love to make a video like this myself one day!
Thank you Roman, really appreciate it! You of all people would know the pain of being so precise with remakes, but it's always worth it for the end result! I would die to see a behind the scenes video of your process, even something short would be awesome!
With the scenes right in front of toad I was thinking you could have used Tomy Splatter or Dodge to pull the camera (if you have them) because they for some reason seem to have the fastest motors
11:00 Gordon's Hill in Series 5 is fairly bland itself, compared to how it was in S1-S4 or around S7/S8. In fact, I'd say a lot of the S5 set designs are a bit bland at times, or very flat. A lack of trees or hills in the distance, being able to see the edge of the set, etc. The amount of work that went into this is incredible though Tom. I'll be interested to see what episode you choose to remake from S6! Personally, I'd choose one that has weather of some kind, such as The Fogman or Toby Had a Little Lamb. Since so far all the remakes have occurred during regular sunny weather. It might prove to be a nice challenge for you! :-)
Agreed, as much as I love S5, some of its mainline sets in particular can be a little dull. Can imagine that by that point they were trying more to experiment with camera techniques and action sequences then set building, but the majority of S5 is still beautiful. Those are some great suggestions, I’d really love to play with some different weather in my next videos so will keep those in mind, glad you enjoyed Noah!
It's always interesting to see what goes into creating a video. Obviously lots of planning and work. It takes my grandson around ten hours to create his three minute stop-motion films, but you've also got the scenics to createas as well as film. . We're looking forward to seeing your next epic...cheers James 🙂👍
Thank you James, scenics often end up being an underestimated difficulty! Tell your grandson to keep up the good work, 10 hours for 3 minutes is so worth it!
@BlueGordon04 I will be sure to tell him, I think his next video will be another update on the model railway he's building. But I'm sure there will be another stop-motion animation one to come 🙂👍
Great video as always dude! I am actually working on my own remake for this episode and what you showed in this video might help me with some ideas i can do for my remake so thank you so much for the Inspiration!
Thank you! Oh man that’s awesome, I’m so honoured I could inspire you! I’m the same when making remakes, it’s always good to see how others have tackled a tricky shot when you’re trying it! Let me know once you’ve finished it and I’ll check it out!
I absolutely loved your remake of this episode so it's awesome to see how it all came together. Also when I hear the word bloopers and season 5 I can't help but think of the actual season 5 bloopers LOL. Keep up the good work!
Thank you so much, I’m the same, I love to see a finished product then see how it was made! Definitely thought of those bloopers a lot while editing this, was very fun to look back on them though was a lot more frustrating while filming! ;)
@@BlueGordon04 Your very welcome man! Awesome cant wait dude! My friends and I just finished watching a bunch of your videos and my god we were super impressed but we definitely consider you one of the greats! In the fandom keep up the great work man! Definitely really inspiring!
Q1: If you had to make yourself as a Thomas and Friends Character what class of engine would you pick? Q2: Do you have 2 favorite and 2 least favorite episodes of Thomas and Friends? Q3: Which version of Thomas is better LBSC Teal Green or NWR Blue? Q4: Apart from Thomas and Friends name 5 other TV Shows you like to watch when you were young?
It was just the colour of Duncan and the mountain behind him just made them blind in plus I guess my brain just didn’t really expect to see him there seeing that he never went to that railway
