I don’t think they do besides basic English, but you also really don’t need much Japanese at all to get in. Just make sure you have enough money to buy a ticket and you’re pretty much good to go.
Production I.G. sucks so hard and should have gone out of business so very long ago...Perhaps people will learn their lesson...perhaps not. It's all demoralization. The writing was like that of dustborn for the sequels...enough said.
Had such high hopes for it as you could tell with what I said at the end of the video. The Uzumaki anime was such a disgrace and insulted me so much that I’m working on a video about it that I will upload soon.
90s kid here. I’m glad the new generation appreciates the original for what it was and hates the spin offs. FLCL was the best story to watch as a kid going through puberty without any father figures to help. I could relate a lot to Naota on many things. Except, you know, the worm hole popping out his skull. Great video 🎸
My childhood manga as a kid growing up will never get animated, sadly, other manga GETS turned into an adaptation anime series but this one doesn't? I'm crying but I will keep dreaming, this is beautiful animation! I wonder what VAs will dubbed the characters in English and who will voice the Japanese cast with whom?
Bro I remember watching this show on AS while my parents where telling me to do my HW as a kid…honestly as a 30 year old man this show still has a weird effect on me idk what it is but it has always followed me…idk how to explain it but I will never forget this show it really triggered some feelings in me as a young kid
what actually made me believe in simulation theory is that the same mister donut was in the 16 year old video of many haruhi cosplayers dancing in front of it and scattering after police appears
I think it was Anime Expo 2016 in LA where they were having the first panel talking about the upcoming sequel with the creators and some of the voice actors. FLCL fans lined up in DROVES to see that panel and waited HOURS to get into the event. Turns out the previous event in the same room as the panel was a NON-CLEARING event, meaning after the event was over, you did not have to leave. And nobody left, so no seats opened up. So effectively the entire FLCL fanbase that had been lined up to hear about this exciting new sequel were extremely angry and dissapointed. I think it pretty much set the tone of how the seasons actually turned out tbh.
Hey, on the flip side, they haven't ruined top wo narae yet! :D on a side note, you encountered your favorite band of all time during your teens - what. a. suprise. (monotone)
what happened is it was an amazing 6 episode series, the Anime Holy Grail, and then when the studio was out of Idea's, they tried to "Membbbbbaaaa?" berry it and failed utterly. Some things are seen as great pieces of art because they are self contained and were perfect for the time. Not everything needs an effing remake or expansion just because "you guys liked this right? right?"
here is a theory... what if we're too old to love the new flcl? if i loved OG flcl its because i was literally around the same age as naota dealing with the same complex emotions and being stuck within my own shell as he did. Haruko was my waifu for the loooongest amount of time, by the time alternative and progressive came out i moved passed my long time crush realizing how to toxic and manipulative she is. i already carved my out my own path in life farther past identifying with their struggles
You’re making her move with too much squash and stretch and rubber bandedness. The charm of yotsuba comes from her personality(ie emotions and facial reactions) being the larger than life/animated thing in a world that is largely mundane and very down to earth. The juxtaposition of her larger than life personality like how she thinks she’s moving like a spy vs how objectively she looks like a little kid trying to play a spy, is where the charm of the character comes from. You’re animating her like she’s the yotsuba from the pilot chapters. Read from post chapter 50 and animate in that style. I know the artwork gets better and more realistic in the later chapters but that’s part of their charm. In the most recent chapters she’s basically drawn where she’s everything from her neck down is not even stylizized it’s practically that of a stereotypical 5 year old and her head is the only thing stylized
FLCL 1 is a master piece its also what Avatar the Last Air-bender is based on and ive never bothered to watch the other series because i new they would be shit.
