Great for everything that don't fly.. now honestly how many chickens do y'all lose to hawks.. my uncle keeps game cocks.. has a gp for protections but still looses some to hawks and the occasional opossum
how cruel, look at how depressed the chickens look. they are injected with so many chemicals they cannot even stand up. Not only is this miserable, but the chicken itself will taste worse due to the adrenaline released into the meat from the stress. Im just thankful i dont live in a filthy country like this.
I am doing like little shots at a time because I have digestive issues. It’s been 1 day and I had minor loose stool nothing crazy! I will say I’m surprised as I’ve never had raw milk before because I grew up in NJ. Can’t wait to try my first full glass. Tempting but I don’t want to push to fast 😂😂
I had to do 2-4oz daily for the first month because I had bad gut health the first 40 years of my life. It’s had the most benefits of anything I’ve tried for gut health!!
And here I was patting myself on the back for saving the sunburned squash and giving them to the chickens. lol, I’m being sarcastically serious. My idea of a treat is leftovers or stuff that the sun blistered in the garden. Everyday, during the late afternoon, I give these normal treats, and the girls come running. It’s also how I get them to go to their coop so I can shut them up for the night. Now, I need to get back to shelling peas. Then, I have tomatoes to can. Where do people get the time?
Thank you for your information 🙏😊 so if it gets „bad“ I can not get sick of it ? It only tastes bad. Do I got it right? Because I’m the internet stays it then definitely can cause health problems.
If not properly milked, stored and cared for it can go bad. But good milk can ferment and still be used. Tangy and tart after a week or two is fairly normal.
thank you very much 😊 how do I notice if the milk was properly milked, stored and especially cared for it? I asked my farmer. He said he put the milk immediately to the Refrigerator. So I think it is stored well and also milked correctly. But what about care for it how can I know this? Thank you 😊
Mine separated in the fridge (glass jar) with whey top and curd settled to bottom. How can i ise this? Remix and add to baking or just pour off whey and use curds separate?
That’s not whey and curds - that’s cream on top and skim on the bottom. Just shake back up and drink or use. If tart and tangy just use in cooking or baking
I'm not afraid of the raw milk itself but I do worry about bacteria collecting and growing in the pipes. Can you say how often the pipes and equipment are sanitized? And how often is the milk tested for pathogens? Thank you!
The other side of this is that after we moved to a new city unaware of raccoon population two raccoons almost killed my sweet Maltese. They attacked him & he had a ton of puncture wounds all over his body & was in shock. I rushed him to the vet and they saved him but I had no idea that was even a possibility. After this he wasn’t allowed outside after sunset. So yeah, I am bias a bit. Plus they come to our yard every single night and nothing I do deters them. There is No food or water or trash outside at all. They are just common around here.
