I started out my martial arts journey in 1972 when I was very young. I've trained in Shotokan. Various forms of Kung Fu. I even trained in & taught TKD. I am 59 now & decided to leave my comfort zone & now train in Danzen Ryu Jujitsu & am about to start training in Muay Thai as well. Once a student. Always a student.
There is this country, Thailand, in which there is a shitload of practitioners and teachers who would strongly disagree with the form of the kick you are teaching.

Wedge seems like a good defense. Although you still have liver shot open and mawahsy high kick to the dome. From having lead arm extended out but it is a good option to use every so often. Thanks for drill.
