There's definitely a learning curve with this. I applied the first time as you did and received the same results. I then tried tapping the sponge on the little door that is in the compact and applying way less and received a better result. But best results have come for me by using my own foundation brush to apply and then tapping in with my beauty blender.
I haven’t touched any of my other foundations since I found this one, but the key is definitely less is more. Tapping the sponge a few times on the little door and then I go over it with a damp beauty blender to pick up any additional product solves the issues you had with settling.
Just my two cents with 53 year old skin, buffing it on with a brush instead of using the applicator sponge makes a huge difference. And def a less is more situation. Use the smallest amount possible and layer over spots you want to cover.
I am ❤❤ soooo glad i came across your channel as i always look ill with the dark hollows and very pale skin. Will be following your links and buying what youve suggested. So many products ive bought and all end up in the bin! Can i ask during the video what colour of lipstick you are wearing? It looks so much like my favourite Maybelline grape juice which i wear ALL the time but has sadly been discontinued. Tried so many lipsticks that look similar on the shade chart, but liok totally different on! Thanks and hope ya dont think im being too cheeky asking. Im in Scotland but hopefully i will be able to buy your products. Thanks again for the best beauty video, ever! ❤❤
I was surprised that I actually really liked it. I don't think it will be one I use everyday. Just like you said maybe for a special occasion that I want to have full coverage. Thanks for the review!
I agree with the very comment below mine, Robert Walsh demonstrated it the best. Less is more. Watched some other MUA also came back the second day and retried it with just using what was left on inside the lid. They also after pressing " lightly " into product pressed sponge on inside pad, like when you pickup bronzer or blush and tap on your hand first.
I live in the Caribbean. This lastssss on me in our high heat and humidity. I really think you applied a bit too much. I got a 2nd concealer shade bec it's beautiful under the eyes. Depending on how you apply this it does not need to be be full coverage.
Robert Welsh has an excellent tutorial on how to properly apply this foundation to get the best results. For starters, you picked up way too much product on the sponge (press lightly into the pad once and bounce any excess off on the inside cover) and second you tap it into the skin and not drag the applicator across your face. Part of the reason why you see it settling into your lines is because you put on too much. It does oxidize, and the more product you load onto the sponge and put on your face, the more cakey/orange or yellow it will look. Also, TirTir is a K-Beauty (South Korean) brand. It’s popular in Japan, but it’s a K-Beauty brand. The reason why you got the results you did is that you put way too much on in the first place.
You definitely need another shade. It looks off in color on you. Even with the rest of the products. I think it’s battling with your natural skin tone. You can see around the eyes. If you can find your shade, it looks good on your skin. Alot less product I think would work. Btw, I watch ALL of your videos and I love you. ❤️
Thanks for the review Sarah 👑 I’m going to have to pass on this foundation not feeling the yellowness🤣 but it looked so nice on you still! Have you done NARS Sheer glow foundation review? I’m so curious what’s your shade and how did you like it?
Did u use moisturizer first and primer? Also did u use a setting spray?I'm in Yexas 100 and above some days. Need full coverage that last all day. I have melasma without makeup I'd never look a person in the eyes. Help ❤your videos
Im so glad they have a pink shade because even though i have a deeper skin tone so i technically should use orange i have a olive under tone so the orange is always to deep for me and bleed through so i have to use extra just to hide it
Also the problem im having is im deep skin toned so i have to use orange color corrector but it ALWAYS shows through my concealer and foundation even if i just use 1 tiny dot how do i stop my undereyes from looking orange
Aquaphor side brightens up your eye better. Reg eye looks a little droppy without the extra moisturizer that the aquaphor gives on the other eye. - Aquaphor eye looks moisturized and more refreshed looking along with makes the eye seem more open rather than dropping throughout the day. It's a better and younger look
Love that your review is so honest its one the most honest reviews on a product i have seen, it has helped me to decide if i want it considering the pros and cons. So thank you so much 🙏🏼🙂
I saw this all over tik tok. I bought the aquaphor stick. I’m going to try it out and make a video as well. My understanding is that eyes are so textured, it’s insane. Dryness, fine lines.. the perks of getting older 😂 sigh
I wonder if you having to blend it throughout the day would be gone, if you put a little setting spray and then a translucent powder. What are your thoughts on doing that? Instead of using more product later in the day, and continuing to dab it in all day long. That sounds a bit exhausting lol
Thanks for sharing this. I’m curious why you didn’t try the dark shade? I’m Latina and I’m pretty dark skinned and I was hoping there was a few reviews with someone using the darkest shade but I can’t find a review w/someone using that particular shade.
