The Westinghouse Hybrid bells have been replaced at this level crossing too. The last time that I visited it was in November 2017, and it had Westinghouse Hybrid bells at the time. Luckily I managed to record some footage of them when I was there that day.
You posted this video 5 years ago and it's still helping people. I was failing at figuring out how to assemble the set and the internet wasn't helping much. Then I found this 🙂
These videos are so cool. I've actually learned heaps from him, including how to assemble my viaduct and trestle bridge set 😂. Man he must get a lot of pocket money haha! Thank you!
Cool video. Must admit since the switch to HCMT on the Pakenham line, I’ve been more inclined to take the train to the City as opposed to driving. Thanks for the video. 👍
Hcmt trains are rare on the Sunbury line. Soon it will be nothing but hcmt trains. We will be all running around filming comeng trains and Siemens trains because they will be the last.
I would have ranked HCMTs lower than Comengs, I really don't like the doors and seats on them. Plus, I feel like they don't have much better suspension but they mostly run on newly installed welded track
X’traps are the best because: 1. They have a nice look on the interior & exterior. 2. They are quiet compared to the comeng 3. The air conditioning is absolutely cooling
I don’t think so in my opinion 1. Horrible suspension which makes it bumpy 2. Slips in the rain 3. Worst PIDS on the network 4. The seats aren’t as comfortable compared to the comeng ones
my worst to best Z - step only, cramped and no AC A - step only, cramped B - Step only C - Bum racks D - Bum Racks D2 - Bigger but still bum racks C2 - Rarity E - very nippy, but the seats just before the articulated parts have railings I don't count W's as they aren't used on "normal" commuter routes, just the City Circle.
the HCMT's are terrible as far as leg room is concerned as well. I would HATE to travel ALL THE WAY from Sunbury to Pakenham. The doors are woefull too. Besides the manually opened doors the only issue I have with Comengs are the seats. I'm not a short person, the seats seem to be designed for small children. Siemens aren't too bad apart from braking issues from time to time. They either don't stop immediately or they stop too quickly, it's kind of hard to explain. X-Trampolines are too bouncy for my liking. They have huge windows which are a plus, but again low backed seats.
I would say that most people who aren’t train enthusiasts would like HCMTs only because they look new. I prefer Comeng trains as well but I think that the average passenger would like HCMTs because they judge by a trains age
@@Leostrainandtramspotting I think the EDI Comeng is just, beautiful. Why did you say you can't walk between carriages on the Comeng? They have gangways right? if they have gangways, you should be able to walk between the carriages?
I feel like in a lot of people's eyes, XTraps aren't really liked because of their suspension which is fair. Me personally, they are my favourite train. I like the seats, how open each carriage feels and the bounce does make it more natural in my opinion. However, I dislike the HCMT just because of how confined it is for an open gangway train. The high backed seats with excessive rails just feels cluttered, and they aren't the best with doors too.
I HATE THE X'TRAMPOLINE! (Not to offend X'Trap fans) but they have terrible suspension, super duper bouncy rides. White instead of silver for the contrast of the blue triangles meaning if they are dirty you can see it way clearer. I also don't think the tube gangway is very appealing. I like the Consetina Gangways more, open gangways with no consetena like the V/Line H sets, V/Line Sprinters and some old Comeng's doesn't look safe in my opinion, it is interesting though, but open gangways are not as appealing either. Wait-sorry, I thought open gangways are where there is no consetena, I realised it's where there are no doors, it does look rather cool, means once you're on the train you can walk all the way to the other end without opening a single door!
I said you can’t walk between the carriages in the ranking in wheelchair perspective because they can’t fit a wheelchair. However you can walk between them normally
