Hi Dear How are you? Great. Your Content is fantastic, But your video optimization section area is not perfectly up to date. Out of 100, that's a score of 0, that's why your video is not reaching out to people and you do have not many subscribers, views, likes, watch time, and comments. I think your RU-vid channel will make your dream come true. I am waiting for your response.
Those silos are hideous. Totally pointless if you only get a small reading knook for such a large structure. I wasn't overly impressed by the show home either considering how much it cost.
They look really good! We are wanting to get something similar added to the back of our property that would be roughly 2.2M wide and 6M long. How much would something like this cost and also would you need planning permission?
Hi, Thanks for the comment, if you like a quote for an extension such as this one contact the IQ Team here: hello@iqglassuk.com and we will take a look at the project drawings!
Where to buy - I contact the company as my house is in Thailand, but they only want to quote me for larger project? Please reply if either IQ or anyone else can help. Just need teh frame and all the structural glass and glass in teh window itself can be done locally.
how is the ceiling directly above this supported? are there exterior columns? if there is no additional support, how do you avoid the risk of the entire opening not sagging from above?
The surrounding framework is made up of timber and steel - usually when we install sliding glass doors of this size we need a solid structure to fix into.
Thanks! A lot of our glass extension projects use glass on all four elevations, you can see some examples here - www.iqglassuk.com/contemporary-rear-extensions/s47172/
Beloved, i want to cover two spaces. I want clear to 20 ft in length and 13ft in width. This is a space that already has a concrete wall and three concrete pillars upon which it can rest. This space is out the back door of my bungalow and the goal is to preserve the light.
Hi there, if you could send over your enquiry to hello@iqglassuk.com they will be able to assist you with starting a quotation and talking to you about your options. Hope this helps!
The U value depends on the specification and is calculated on a project by project basis, but the system is fully thermally broken to ensure high levels of thermal performance and to prevent heat escaping. This installation is not triple glazed, but for enhanced performance values we could certainly do this with triple glazing.
@@IQGlassuk Thanks for the reply. I'm looking at retractable roof frames at the moment (large) but the weight of triple glazing requires a fairly substantial structural frame - especially when seismic and snow-loads are factored in. The use of VIG (Spacia etc) would considerable reduce the mass - but I don't think this technology has enough years in industry to have ironed out all the failure points, especially the edge cracking and ultimate loss of vacuum, it's still rather novel. Regards
@@winstonsmith9740 we have a number of systems that sound like they would be a good fit for your project. You can see our retractable glass roof system here (www.iqprojectsuk.com/roof-glazing/#Retractable_Glass_Roof) or our MARS rooflight, which has been designed to reach large sizes without compromising on performance or minimal design (www.iqglassuk.com/mars-automated-rooflight-system/s109973/)

It is quite a high specification design - especially at the height of the doors. You need to use a decent glass spec to make sure the doors are strong. If you were looking for a more cost effective solution for the same opening height you could opt for a smaller door system with fixed glass overlight. But you wouldn't get the same wow factor they get here.
Hi Guljit, thanks for getting in touch! From the information you have provided I would roughly calculate this as costing around £45,000 for supply and installation excluding VAT. Please note that this is only a very rough estimate and to get accurate cost you would need to receive a formal quotation from us. This figure doesn't include any additional technical glazing options, such as solar control coatings or heated glass. Hope this helps, for more information you can get in touch with us at hello@iqglassuk.com
Hi Dylan, thanks for getting in touch! Our glass box extensions use thermally efficient double or triple glazed units, with a full thermal break that limits heat loss through the junctions between the glass panels and doors. We also use low-E coatings that help retain heat by reflecting long wavelength heat from the sun back into the space, rather than letting it escape through the glazing. This ensures that the glass extension meets the thermal performance required by UK Building Regulations. You can also turn the glass itself into a minimal heating solution for the extension space, by integrating electrically heated transparent glass panels into the design that emit an adjustable, radiant heat source. Please let us know if you'd like any further details on any of this. Our team is on hand to provide expert glazing advice - you can get in touch by emailing hello@iqglassuk.com or calling us on 01494 722880.
Thank you for your response. In general, minimal windows sliding glass doors can hold up to 8.5m2 of glass per sliding pane with a maximum height of 4m.
