This Johnny Clark lkiller brings me back to my yout club days 40 odd years ago. Arguably the best dubplate of all time. No sound ever dropped bass like Jah Shaka.
The first tune is one pf the baddest dub ever and to drop it on shaka on this night made shaka know that it wasnt going to be a one man horse race one up Jah observor for this dub cut
It’s just incredible how a proper sound system run by a real soundman (cultural term) can truly elevate a tune, such as this, that many of us play in our homes.
Will always be one of my most favourite clips. I have watched it again & again. Apart from the obvious fact the tune is right up there, Shaka is running the sirens + you can tell he's enjoying this one. After about 3-4 mins there are cutaways...the shadows/ silhouette of Shaka (especially) + the people around him. You have to look closely to see Shaka just like you might have done inside the dance. It takes me right back in time watching it. Such a special bit of film Igthered thanks for the upload.
