There's no way in heck I would ever attempt to fell a huge tree with such a dull saw especially with a smaller saw like that. Lucky it didn't set back on yall! At least should have keep a back strap of holding wood and cut it last. That could have turned deadly with just a blink of a eye.
Where is your helmet boy? Just wait until a dead limb in the top of the tree falls and hits you on the head. That is the voice of experience talking because one hit me and knocked me kooko a few years ago. I take it off when the tree is on the ground but until I do the helmet stays on my head.
He hacked at it. Felling direction wedge Don't go in front Take out the back. Run to the planned escape area avoiding a widow maker. I know nothing still on a course but I know this aint right. I own a 236 husky and a 372xp20". Won't even start it until I am trained. I am quite attached to my legs and arms Stupid thing is home users can buy a chainsaw legally for £120 but the right safety gear tops to near £300 in the UK. Chainsaw BBQ in Burmuda shorts is fine just keep your eye on the Sosidge.. .. lol No dancing around a tree.
Give the guy credit where it is due... I have done a lot of chainsaw work when I was young. Tall trees like that are scary, but they don't spin like an oak tree. He stayed with the tree a bit longer than I would have... a few other small things I would have done differently, but he put the tree exactly where it needed to go. That does take skill.
just z couple of things. I don't criticize your decision to not use safety equipment. its your choice. It seems the chain is making a lot more sawdust than it should. I think the depth gauges need filing. Also your tree is overpowering the 455 a bit. you needed a bit more horsepower and a longer bar.
Ya could have used a bigger saw but it's what I had at the time I don't cut trees every day and I could have used some safety equipment but it seemed pretty safe it was a straight tree. Lol 😂 but I think I did a good job with what I had and considering I had only did it a few times in the past.
Haha guy at the end is a good dude good help. But I can see why he scared you 😂. Max I don't cut a lot of I got the land and moved on it and the tree had to go. But I think I did a ok job.
well nice job bringing er down I would have worn a helmet at least. a tree that tall dropped a limb on ya noggin you would be lights out brother. guy at the end scared me at first haha.well done though.
