We have Fogo here. 10 flats, 9 renters who do not participate. Last week we emptied ONE orange. Absentee landlords do not give a rats about it. Also I am paid to get plastic garbage bags out of recycling bins. Again no-one gives a rats. The more people buy investment properties the worse it will get.
I grew up in Matraville and lived there for 50 years before moving to Wallerawang which is near Lithgow. We are fighting here against a proposal for a giant incinerator to be built on the old power house site. There are many homes, farms and struggling businesses very close by. We have a beautiful lake, mountains, rolling hills, farm land. We do not want a stinking, toxic incinerator here. Best of luck with your fight Matraville. I stand with you all!
Awesome video! Thank you !! I’d like to know if there’s a book you’d recommend about guild permaculture (I hope I’m not butchering that!)?! I’m about to start my first garden so that would help and save me some time!! Thx in advance !!
Thank you Dan for a very interesting walk with descriptions of the Spring Wildflowers. It will help me identify the flowers I see in the Randwick area. Hope one of these years I can join your Spring walk.
my great grandmother attended the court with stannards wife. id love to share with you the few pages from my great grandmothers memoirs about the case, Heather Cahill was her name and her husband Bernard Cahill gave evidence I believe?
I was very pleased about your comment about wearing a mask whenever you open bags of soil of mulch. Always be careful not to inhale the dust particles from these products! You may or may not get sick but don’t take a chance on it.
That's strange for some reason when I tried to post this as my own comment it was showing that my comment was added but if I navigated away from the page and back again it was invisible.
It is important to document any effects that an incinerator has on local communities. Community Environmental Monitoring install air particulate monitors that measure nanoparticles in affected communities. Feel free to contact me for details.
@@westaustraliangarbo341 Nah mate GenV, WSN/Sita/Suez never had any fulltime MKIV kn Randwick while they held the contract. Council did have some long ago for veg collection.
@@laurin4339 They actually did have a couple. They are on RU-vid. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-hxA-HGXgTFQ.html ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-G7VWsxnrU4w.html
@@southaussiegarbo2054 Your right completely forgot about the ex Ryde one. Still, that doesn’t change much of my reply since the guy I first replied to said they had MKIV where in reality they had a fleet of GenV. Technically you’re right though, Suez did have a MKIV in Randwick but it was not part of the original fleet nor did it have a permanent run. There were even more MKIV and even MKIII that worked in Randwick as spares from time to time over the years if you wanna be really specific….However if you would’ve read my first comment correctly, you would’ve noticed I was talking about full time ones and not spares….. And the second video you referred to is a truck from Randwick council and not Sita. The comment thread was about MKIV operated by Sita in Randwick so I didn’t count the council ones they used for veg.
@@laurin4339 lol the thread stated randwick..... And just bc it has a council logo on it don't mean it's the councils. I seen companies own trucks (including suez) where it's just got council logo on it 😂
Fantastic concept - I love the FOGO bins and please provide more info on how this will help improve our farmers' soils (so that red soil windstorms in Sydney and elsewhere are minimised - we need to reduce desertification!). I couldn't listen to all of the video because the background music was so loud, repetitive and annoying. Soz. Just the truth. Thanks. xoxo
Currently the Randwick Recycling Centre Perry currently accepts resident green waste on a Saturday morning. The video I just watched does not give information regarding this service. Please advice that this service will continue. The omission of information is unfortunate considering the amount of planning in this project. FOGO is an important step forward. I am also disappointed that planning for this change has not indicated a project that transparent quality data monitoring of savings through reduced landfill charges will immediately take place. And with a view to reduction in rates to residents and or provision of more regular free compost opportunities for ratepayers. The more incentives for residents the better to bed in FOGO. So initially please advise of continuing Saturday morning green waste acceptance at Perry Street. Gary. Resident LA Perouse
What about animal waste bags provided by council, Biogone, Home Compostable Waste Bag AS 5810. I always have a couple after my daily walk. Pet waste on the list but not the bags?
1) By reflecting away 30% of ISR the albedo, which would not exist w/o the atmosphere, makes the earth cooler than it would be without the atmosphere like that reflective panel set on the dash. Remove the atmosphere/GHGs and the earth becomes much like the moon, a barren rock with a 0.1 albedo, 20% more kJ/h, hot^3 on the lit side, cold^3 on the dark. Nikolov, Kramm (U of AK) and UCLA Diviner mission all tacitly agree. 2) the GHG up/down welling, “trapping”/”back” radiating/delaying/intercepting, 100 % efficient, perpetual warming loop requires "extra" energy which according to RGHE theory it gets from 3) the terrestrial surface radiating that "extra" energy as a near ideal .95 emissivity black body which 4) it cannot do because of the non-radiative heat transfer processes of the contiguous atmospheric molecules. 1+2+3+4 = 0 Greenhouse Effect + 0 Greenhouse gas warming + 0 man caused climate change.
