I grew with my dad beating my mom & I, thinking I’d never let it happen to me. Then it did. Took me a long time to break free. I almost lost my life during it, somehow in my mind I’d blame myself. The last straw was one night he had me by the throat against the wall, hitting me saying “ bitch, no one will even know you’re gone”. I didn’t know my kids were watching. The next day my 2 boys were fighting & I walked in to my son holding my other son against the wall by the throat saying “ I can make you disappear “. I literally packed our bags right then & we left.
On October 2nd 2022,we were home, my now x husband and I was upstairs talking. He started an argument. I stated to him what I was not going to do. He became angry and out of control, left the bedroom and went down stairs. So l continued to get ready upstairs for my Christian meeting. Around an hour later I went downstairs and I observed my x husband taking door knobs out of the front door, I asked him not to do that, he picked up our heavy iron security door knob holder near the door and he started to hit me several times. I turned to my left side, he hit my shoulder, chest, I tried to hit him back but he continued to hit me. I obtained 2 fractured ribs, left shoulder humerus fractured. My neck, knee and lower back was hit by him, which caused me severe pain all over.when he was hitting me, I turned from side to back.i was also short of breath when he hit me in my chest .I screamed for him to stop, he seem confused,he stopped hitting me and he walked out the front door,into the neighborhood throwing the door knobs to the ground that he took out of the front door, I called 911 when the officer came, I explained to her what happened and I went to The Emergency Room at Piedmont hospital in Conyers Georgia. I was informed 3 days later by the police department that my x husband daughter accompanied by his sister took my x husband to New Jersey. My x husband has been gone for 14 months, has not been charged for assault and battery, I have no address or any information for the application for an arrest for the crime he committed. My x husband has a lawyer in Georgia, who has contact me for him, but my x husband lawyer will not give me or the policeman any information or my x husband address to mail the application for the crime he committed. I am so depressed, feel uncomfortable because my x husband has family and friends in Georgia, also visit but there has been no arrest, the police department knows he is here, nothing has been done because the court says they do not have his address to send the application for arrest.
