Sure, here I piled a bunch of plates on the counter to watch for a polt, made noise to see if it came my way (only a yokai wouldn't), watched the blinking patterns to rule out a phantom or oni (fast or slow blinking), and listened for changes in footstep speed to rule out any fast or slow ghosts. The time between hints was kind of long when I turned the light on so I was thinking a mare was a possibility. Hope that helps
Hello Ghost. I've finished all challenge levels from Kaycee's Mod 4 times over. Congrats on the 1st round win. I'd like to give you some advice to improve your gameplay: 1) Before you trade in your first pelts, step away from the table and look at Leshy's picture. Replicate that on the board 3 times to get new items. 2) At any point on the map, you can look at your entire deck by pressing W (or forward button) twice. This will help when it comes to building totems and/or winning trials. 3) If you feel you are going to lose a battle, go to the main menu and click on continue run. This will allow you to restart the battle rather than having to restart from the beginning. 4) If you have enough teeth and room in your backpack, you can get the trapper's knife. Step away from the pelts and click on the knife. 5) Optional challenge: Give the trader fused pelts.
This video can basically be summarized as "I don't like speed runs because streamers make it look easy and I'm not that good. People should play the game normally instead." The title is also misleading. It makes it seem like the video will have better methods of grinding xp, but instead focuses on why you shouldn't be grinding xp.
I actually didn't say I'd show you how to farm in the title. But what I did say was do insanity or just lower the difficulty from 12-13 multipliers a bit so you don't only guess the ghost right every 2-3 times out of 10. I think speed runs themselves are cool. I'm very open I'm not that great at them. The video is about one farming strategy, not speed runs in general. It doesn't sound from your comment like I'm the one with the chip on my shoulder. 🤷♂️
@@Ghostgametherapy "The video is about one farming strategy, not speed runs in general." In the video, speed runs for grinding xp are the focus of what not to do. Including 5 reasons why you think people shouldn't do them. Don't tell me I have a chip on my shoulder when you can't even remember your own content to defend it. My comment is also meant as a warning for others who come to this video. The title is misleading. Most people will click it expecting some better way to get xp. And instead they get a video telling them to not grind xp and play the game normally. Misleading.
@@Ghostgametherapy with the strat you should be able to get 12 reliably and another 2 sometimes. Out of 24 ghosts that's 50+% so you're only guessing half the time.
just do apoc III over and over again, even if you just get 1 objective i reached XVI with in a week edit. it was 7hrs at a time i hurt my back so kinda house bound xD
@@Ghostgametherapy Might not have been the best part to comment on but the thing is that some people might like to feel that they finished a game and honestly, playing several hundreds of hours might not be what some people want in phasmophobia due to the gameplay being kinda repetetive, even if there is a lot to learn and a lot of "depth" in the ghosts behaviour. For example, I've played approximately 100 hours, mayby 20 of them before the reset, so 80 hours and I have not reached level 100 yet so if I would for example want the achievement for prestige 3, it would take me approximately 400 hours, since I got way better than I was in the beginning, I can probably shorten it to 250 hours, I would rather not spend that amount of time on a phasmophobia when a lot of other seemingly good games has released that I might want to play aswell. The main part with the other video was about quickening the grind if you were good enough and the creator even says that he thinks it is kind of cheesing or cheating (don't remember what he said) I have told others to just play the game to get certain achievements but when it is grind-type, you most often want to make them slightly more efficient. The way he played, while mayby not easy, seemed to give experience way faster than my friends and I could playing together normally. Ofcourse the game should be savoured by playing it in the normal way but after hundreds of hours, it can be dull and most of the scares are gone.
Gotcha. I have no real problem with people themselves playing however they want to play. And it's not really cheating even because you can do it. It's different than using exploits or something like that. Now that's cheating. Anyway, I think if people want to farm this way, it's fine. Of course I think mine is better. 🤣🤣 Just different perspectives. People play for different reasons. If my video resonates with some, then they may share similar views. But there's enough room for whoever.
Hilarious. Definitely the key takeaway from the ending. A truly funny game. Humor at its finest. Seriously, in what universe is any of this funny? You could say "its just a game" but its a game you bothered to get all the way to the end of...
A good take. I'm a custom grinder but I never did speed runs. Always aimed for perfect game and testing the ghost to get close to a calculated guess as much as possible. Even explored custom settings that can be used in all maps. Main issue I dislike about the custom speedrun type is the amount of high prestige peeps out there that dont even test ghosts or develop skills that backup their prestige. Without their bug exploits and speedruns, they miss out on other more important game mechanics that actually make phasmo fun.
💯💯💯 I've seen xx level folks who I think sadly viewed those speed runs as like a completion and although phasmo doesn't have a lot of depth it has a ton that they miss out on. But the custom settings are fun to mess with
@@Ghostgametherapy truth be told, at least half or more xx peeps i met speedran the game without investigating the limits of gray area ghosts. They only know the easy ones but make it a mare, a yurei, a goryo, theres some weird rumors around im yet to verify
I can see this and I always try to figure out the ghost by perfect games and I do stuff unlike others for example, shade tests, stay to test for yurei which can be tough sometimes, jinns which if it is none I go with (mare tests are hard) but by looping it, If I figure out the ghost quite quickly, I get perfect games because I see others speedrun this and I understand it’s quicker to just go but it really makes me enjoy the game especially when friends come in and everyone starts dying and we have a game where we try find the bone first so that’s how I make my custom games fun and I’m prestige 7 level 50 ish so far and got all the phasmophobia achievements with 200 hours in this game and any other person would be bored by now! But I love this game with a passion still! Especially the uniqueness of all the ghosts! So that’s the reason I also do perfect games! To have fun, die a lot and have a lovely laugh with friends!!
This was one of my favorite weekly challenges, but of course I had 2 that were also in the dreaded cell blocks. Maybe I should do a video on cell block ghosts?
@@drm.himself but they block line of sight. Once the ghost loses you it begins a random hunt pattern from the spot it last saw you. If you can break line of sight with walls and doors you have a better chance of it randomly roaming away from you.
@@drm.himself ghosts definitely can go through any door. However they're less likely to enter a room with a closed door, so because this is being done with no official hiding spots, closing the door can increase your luck if you use the hiding spot I'm recommending
One test at a time is a really good tip. I can't tell you the number of times I mistake an Onyro and Yokia because I'm doing thier crucifix tests together.
