Salut Gary ! Pour "je dois aller", on peut faire la liaison, mais c'est un choix personnel : avec ou sans la liaison, c'est correct. Si tu ne fais pas la liaison, le 's' de "dois" est silencieux, et si tu fais la liaison, alors le 's' se prononce 'z'. 😊
C'est une bonne question ! That is an exception to the rule with feminine singular countries, it’s just “de” + country name when saying "from + country". With masculine and plural countries it’s "de" + definite article + country name. 😊
Super travail ! Voici quelques corrections pour ta phrase : - Je viens du New Jersey (just 'du' is enough as it is the contraction of 'de' and 'le' meaning 'of the') - Je ne viens pas de l'État de New York ('de' and 'l'' do not contract so we keep them as is) Continue comme ça, bravo 👏
Bonne question Christine et la réponse n'est pas très simple il y a plusieur règles. Voici un très bon article qui explique cela en détail : www.lawlessfrench.com/grammar/capitalization-of-titles/ 😊
Thank you Coffee Break French Team. Comment t'appelles tu ? Comment vous appelez vous ? D'où viens tu ? D'où venez vous ? Je suis française / écossaise / américaine.
Thank you coffee break french team. I start learning French in my early 40s. I hope it's not too late to start the learning. Thanks for providing these excellent podcasts.
C'est une bonne question ! On utilise 'en' devant les noms féminins de grandes îles (eg. en Corse; en Sardaigne). On utilise 'à' pour de plus petites îles ou les îles éloignées de la France (eg. à Jersey; à Cuba; à la Réunion) 😊
