We have been traveling in Africa for the past 21 years. In Land Rovers. First in Defenders and later Discoveries. We love Africa and visited, besides South Africa (where we stay) Lesotho, Swaziland, Mozambique, Namibia, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Malawi, Botswana, Angola and Tanzania. We just love camping and try to camp around Cape Town whenever it is possible. We like to share some of our great experiences in Africa.
Great video! Thank you! What waterholes did you visit at Khaudum NP and was it tricky to drive? We are going October there . Thx & greetings from Germany
Hi there. We were off the grid forva couple of days. You can check the website of Basshaven for prises. The cost is for the entire camp and a minimum number of campers.
Hi sorry we were a bit off the grid for a while. The solar panel we used in the video is a 200W foldable solar panel made Eiger. It comes with a solar regulator aswell. We connect it with grey Harrison plugs to the battery in the Landy or Bakkie. The solar panel on the trailer is a fixed one. But we can also charge it from the foldable solar panels. Hope it helps feel free to ask more questions.
All the work done on the trailer and bakkie was done by Dewald at Dalec Customs. This is his FB page: facebook.com/profile.php?id=100063656433772&mibextid=ZbWKwL
I've been waiting for this. Thanks for the walk-around. Just wanted to know how reliable the p series has been seeing that they are fairly new to the market.
We have been using the bakkie for 2 years now and must say we are impressed. We have not had any issues yet. I will admit it could do with a bit more power esspecially when you are towing in the hills. Otherwise we don't have any complaints. We have done some offroad driving with the bakkie and it it handled itself very well. We are happy, very good value for money.
The movers were fitted by Dewald at Dalec Customs. He also does all the work on the trailer and bakkie. This is a link to his fb page facebook.com/profile.php?id=100063656433772&mibextid=ZbWKwL
Every time when we arrived, the owner accompanied us to the camp and showed us the campsite and where everything is. Very friendly. Thanks for watching.
Het hier gaan kamp na gelang van julle Top 10 campsite video. Ek was baie in my skik met die kamp. Ongelooflik netjies en 'n baie lekker ervaring. Ek kan sien hoekom dit nmr 1 was!!!
Yes we are. There are a few campsite reviews on pet friendly campsites on our channel or check out our website. campinginafrica.com Thank you for watching. Happy camping.
Thanks for watching. Palmwag part of Gondwana collection. Get a Gondwana card, you can use it all the campsites in the collection and get discount. It is less expensive than NWR. We also avoid NWR if possible. Happy camping.
Beware of unwelcome characters... there are issues with crime, especially over the weekend. Be sure to lock everything away and remove any valuables from tent.
Thanks for wat watching. Campsites are not really numbered. When making you booking, tell RW you want the we were on. He will know which one. Happy camping
Nice review, we were there in August last year... Most stunning flowers. The Enjo team told us that they are working on private ablutions that were unfortunately washed out during the flood in July. Keen to see that come together. If you go back for flower season: Negotiate with the weavers in the tree on Camp Site 1 or park the trailer away from the tree. They have a rather active cloaca requiring loads of elbow grease to restore the awning... 😜
Ek is bly jy het die video geniet. Die kampe het almal tot 'n mate skade. Die afdakkie help ook vir skade. Ons qas op CK6P. Dit het lekker grootboom gehad. Happy camping.
