Hi, can you share links for the clear stretchy elastic you use and the mini combs in place of the wig clips? Can you do a separate video on how you sew combs or hooks into the wigs? What kind of thread and needles etc.?? Btw, how do i know if you answered this video? Will I get a email?
@@dorothyschultz6853 Thank you for your message. Yes, I will make the video. And here is the link for elastic : BEADNOVA 1mm Elastic Stretch Crystal String Cord for Jewelry Making Bracelet Beading Thread 60m/roll (Clear White) a.co/d/3HMAK07
Can anyone help me know how to actually CUT the wefts out of the wig but keep.the surrounding of the wig like she did on this one?? I really want to do this but I don't know how to cut the wig
this a fabulous idea and I am attempting to try it with wigs I have converted to Toppers -however I went on Amazon saw the beads but the elastic appears not with it. Does the bead adhere to the elastic if I purchase it separately thank you so much for helping.
@@LPoppy2023 Thank you very much for your comment. So, the jewelry elastic you will buy separately. When you thread the bead with jewelery elastic, you will measure around your head and then sqeeze it with pliers to secure the bead. But don't sqeeze it too tight first, sqeeze ot and try it on to see if you need to adjust the elastic to a comfortable fit. And once you feel comfortable, sqeeze it tight. I even use 2 beads to make sure it is secure.
Best video on toppers. Thanks so much! Excellent with the double strands of jewelry elastic. I am just like you (same hair color etc,) and at the stage of using my 'cheap halloween wig' first!
I just got this… are you supposed to use it under make up or at night before bed? I wasn’t given instructions other than use it 1x week. I also paid $150 for it. “Because the box was damaged” but I have a feeling he just needed to make a sale.
So, the serum in syrenge, the one that treats puffiness and wrinkles, you can't use anything at all on top of it. And you can use it when ypu need to look great. But don't put any makeup undee or on top, it will not work. The effect will disappear rightaway. The serum in the bottle you use twice a day on clean skin. I also put eye cream on top because it feels too dry for me. And honestly, so far I don't see any difference at all. I used it without adding eye cream for a month and half, no difference.
I know! I am shocked myself! The parting needs a little work done to make it look realistic, but other than that ot looks really good. I am about to upload more detailed review on it. Please, take a look at it later.
Sorry, vinigar didn't work for me. I tried that before, and it still was super stinky. This recepie is magic for sure, saved my new couch. I thought I would have to throw it away, I was terrified. When I used this recepie, I was amazed how well it worked. My couchbis saved and 0 odor of cat pee. You see, maybe on hard surface vinigar would work, but not on carpet or any fabric surfaces.
Hey friend, I have been brainstorming how I can add a second elastic strap (maybe 3” or so behind the front elastic) so as to secure the topper in the back as well. My bio hair is thin and fine in the back, I would like to eliminate all clips. Any thoughts on how to do this? I wonder if it would work if I somehow connected both sets of elastic together on the sides of my head, (bringing it down to just one elastic that would sit behind each ear) would work to hold the back down? Or, do you think it would cause topper to just “scrunch together” on top of my head? Help! LOL
@@Clouds457 Hi, Friend 😉, I am not sure it is possible to do that, you will get too much trouble by doing that, although you can always try. I, for the most part, don't even use that one clip, unless it is too windy outside. My scalp is too sensative, so even one clip gives me trouble. But, if you watch my other videos, I show how to use elastic on top of the hairtopper. Maybe if you just add that to this way, it will help to keep it more secure. Another option is use glue strips the ones that they use to attach tape hair extensions. You can buy them in bulk on Amazon. They are cheap. And at night, when you arr ready to remove them, just take a dropper and use alcohol to disolve the glue strip. It takes about a minute to disolve the glue. I tried it on my hair when I wanted to use tape hair extensions, but didn't want them for 3-4 months. Try it first on any hairpiece that you have at home, see how it works to remove it. Then try it on yourself. OR, as an option, look into V-light hair extensions. I haven't tried them, but it looks like they become really popular. And ,of course, the wig is always an option. Oh I forgot to mention, there is a w8g grip ypu can use to secure your topper as well. I will leave a link to Amazon, so you can look at it. It works pretty well, but my problem is it gives me thicker view on top and that doen't look good with my face shape. www.amazon.com/MILANO-COLLECTION-Adjustable-Translucent-Openings/dp/B08F7J4SHY?ref_=ast_sto_dp
@@Mrsnexochy thank you for your kind reply. Yes I do have one of those wig grips and it does work too help hold the front down. The problem I have is in the back and yes, I am using one of the elastic strips over the top of the topper, which does work pretty good, but not so much out in the wind. We do go to the lake on a boat in the summer and I’m worried about it lifting in the back! I figured I’ll have to wear a hat that ties under my chin, but thank you for your thoughts.
@@Clouds457 If you, maybe , use those glue strips in the back, it might help. Try it on a any piece of hair you have laying around to see how to remove it with alcohol. I just soaked it with alcohol and it comes off very easy. Yes, it will be more challenging to do that with topper, but it is an option. Do you have a really bad hairloss? If so, maybe just use the wigs instead. I am loosing hair, but due to stress and menopause. I think, eventually, I will go to wigs. I am researching about V-light hair extensions now, maybe I will try it.
@@Mrsnexochy I’m confused 🤔 put a Bobby pin horizontally in the topper each time you wear it? Or you are sewing one in on the back of the cap horizontally?
I wish , I could send it to you. But I don't have any left at this moment. I used them all a week aho with my new topper. If you go to any local asian beauty stores, they sell those for around $10 for 100 or 200 in a box. That is where I bought mine.
so would you Riu Las Americas is better as far for the beach and food? We been to Riu las americas once and wanted to try to go Riu Kukulkan but i heard the beach water is wavy and can have a lot of seaweed..
I was not impressed with Kukulkan. Yes, water was rough, some seeweeds were there. I hesitated to get into water because I was scared I wpuldn't get out. I was 51 at that time. So, for me it is super important to have a calm beach. Kukulkan doesn't jave a calm beach. As for the resort itself, again, I wasn't impressed. It is new, but kind of doesn't have a character. It is a party resort, so you will see party people constantly partying. Food was actually worse than in Las Americas. It is only beautifull food, not tasty though. Las Americas' food last year impressed me. I would say 85% of it was really good. So, the bottom line I wouldn't go to Kukulkan. I would go back to Las Americas.
I got introduced to this product in Naples, where they said I'd had to use it daily at night (so there would be no smiling / wrinkling to disturb the product working) for the period of one month, after that the effect would be like you have it right after application. To hold that I would have to apply it once a month at night for the next two years and then maybe repeat the procedure with a new package (800 USD). One week later I was asked to try it at Miami airport. They suggested to use it once a week at night and after two months I would see a result. In Miami it cost 500 USD. I didn't buy it but I am still thinking about it ...
I am using the serum every day twice a day, the one on the bottle. So far I don't see results. As for the syrenge , it is only temporary for the day, but you can't put anything on top of it, like foundation, conceler, nothing, the effect disappears. So, I think the syrenge is good only for those people who has no other problems than puffiness, and serum, I don't know what to think, yet. I will update the video in a month.
The wig looks beautiful on you! It looks so natural! Is this wig retailer still in business and on Etsy? I just found a cute one on Etsy as well and I love her! I would love to find a good human hair wig maker that can do custom color
Thank you very much! The lady who had this wig done for me is in business, but I don't think she is on Etsy anymore. I will give you her contacts you can discuss what you would like to do and she will make it for you.
Well, I just tried this with one of my toppers and I want to seriously thank you. This is SO comfortable. I was using clips and my hair was falling out where the clips attached, so this is wonderful. Thank you so much.
Follow up: We’ll, today I tested my new topper with your method. It was quite windy here today so it was really put to the test. I’m happy to say, my topper didn’t budge one bit. And it was so comfortable, no tugging on my hair with the clips. So, if you’re thinking about trying this method, go for it. I’m now going to do this with all my toppers. I’ll leave the clips in just in case, but the stretch elastic is much more comfortable.
That looks really good! I do this all the time with my wigs. I live in Florida and I just don’t like wigs, too hot and I don’t like anything on the back of my head. I love what you’ve done. Like you, the clips bother me so I’m going to try it your way. What kind of elastic did you use?
I used jewelry elastic. It is nice thickness and doesn't dig into the scalp loke regular fishing line. And it is pretty cheap. And the beads to secure elastic are also very cheap. Watch my latest video, in that video I show a different way usong this elastic to secure the topper. I think it works much better.
If you use really good shampoo and conditioner, and then let it dry naturaly abput 90%, then brush it and use iron to streighten it, it will look exactly like when you received it. Just make sure you don't put conditioner on the top. Avoid roots.
Not this one. But I have 2 uniwigs toppers, and those I wadhed a few times. On one I had roots darkened and it was done twice to achieve the right color. So far both my toppers look good, no shedding, still look great.
Here is the video on the one I bought from Uniwigs. This topper was dyed twice to darken the roots. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Eq2SAVemhMA.htmlsi=_00a7rHepTwbrG3C

@@Mrsnexochy Who could ever imagine I WOULD need it today??? But I do not have that large bottle of peroxide. We do have a wet vac. So we cleaned it up and by tomorrow it should be dry and I will have the ingredients to do this! Spasibo, milaya ledi! 💗🙏🌺
@@hipretty If the area is not to big, then you can just reduce the ammount of peroxide, soda, and soap. That is what I do. Repeat the treatment if needed. Most of the time one treatment is enough, but sometimes it is necessary to do it twice. Buy don't rinse it off, let it dry. This recepie saved my furniture!
Yes, I can't use clips, they not only damage my hair, but also create a headache for me. That is why I am constantly searching for the best way to attach the topper. So far, jewelry elastic trick is the best for me.
YAY. I came back to let you know I tried this one 3 different TYPES of hair toppers and it works. It works on a larger base also if you find the ends that make the topper flat when you pull on them with your fingers. THEN you choose that area to sew IN your thread loops. I also learned it will NOT work to do this in the way I have seen other people do it. It will NOT lay flat if you just attach the halo clear wire on the ends and pull it through because it needs to be strong all the way ACROSS under the topper base. IF you follow this method, I believe you can secure almost any size topper base, it worked for me on the one you have and on a 5.5 inch and a 6.5 ... I love you for this, I have a very sensitive scalp after a head injury with nerve damage all through the top of my body and trying to grow my delicate hair BACK after the accident i cant have clips pulling on hair or even combs. ...thank you thank you... you are an inventor.
You made my day!!! 😍😍😍😍 It is an 8ncredible feeling to know that my ideas are usefull for someone who really needed it. If you watch my newest video on Uniwigs topper, that is where I show how I use the jewelry elastic over the topper. I like it the best so far. I tried and tried different ways, and the latest way I like the most. I do use 1 clip, but when I am in my car, I unclip it. And to be honest, while being at hime and wearing the topper and not using the clip, it works for me. I wish you to get your hair back and get back to your wonderful life. Sorry about your accident. I had onre, too, 18 years ago, left with me with serious neck problems that I deal constatly with. I am sending you hugs and tones of love from Texas!!!!!
Looks gorgeous on you! Love your videos. They are very helpful to those of us looking for alternative hair. Thank you! Does that Courtney Upgrade topper dry wavy or is it totally straight hair?
It is possible to wear a topper that is longer than your bio hair only if the topper has a good amount of hair from top to bottom. The Uniwigs toppers have really nice amount of hair. But of course it is always best to match the length of the hair topper with your own length. I, probably, would look into a base of the topper that is bigger , which will give you more hair coverage. If you go to www.uniwigs.com look at their hair toppers and find one with the bigger base.
Sorry, I guess, I missed that part 😉 I added the links to Uniwigs and Amazon. I hope that helps. When you use micro beads, you will need pliers to squeese them.
