I plan to use this for a high school volleyball shoot do I need the schools Wi-Fi information for this to work because the gym barely gets any signal so I’m trying to figure out if I need some type of Internet connection for all of this to work
With wireless tethering, you would be connecting to your camera's own wi-fi. In doing so, you would not have any real wi-fi connection during that time that could get you out to the internet. So basically, you can use this in the desert to tether. It's just using "Wi-Fi" to transfer the files from camera to computer. Hope that helps!
I’ve been doing business with Ray-Ban for awhile. Their phone customer service is the worst. Even though it takes a little longer emailing them usually gets better results. Not sure why this happens.
Very interesting...it just seemed like different reps were on different pages, which only made it more frustrating. But in the end, it all worked out...just took a little longer than it should've. Next time I will email them!
I've tried this with my A9, and after connecting my laptop to the camera WiFi it's still don't show up on Capture1 22, any idea to why it's not working
So, after researching a bit on Capture One's website, the Sony A9 is not capable of wireless tethering...only wired. Their full list of compatible cameras/features can be found here: support.captureone.com/hc/en-us/articles/360002718118-Camera-Models-and-RAW-Files-Supported-by-Capture-One#h_0db21c85-0097-4e22-b300-a1aa6503397c
I guess I'm just surprised you lasted that long...usually when I'm watching a video made by someone else and I'm not feeling it, I sort of just move on...I mean, why bother taking even more time out of your day just to leave a meaningless comment like this...but hey...whatever floats your boat. Enjoy your day!
I'm sure you can always find something cheaper, but personally I've seen twigs sturdier than neewer stands, so if I'm going to put $10k+ worth of gear on this type of setup, it better be well-built and something I can trust to hold my most valuable assets. It's worth the extra $$ in this case by a long shot.
I mean...OK...sure...they damn well could be if they are worn by the wrong person. No denying that...but for a normal person like myself, these glasses are pretty awesome!
So.... what's the use case for these things? To harvest private data for Matt Zuckerberg's personal enjoyment and to exploit so he can expand his mansion in Palo Alto? Be honest. If it's just for your "photography business", Jesse, whatever that is, why the link to Meta?
I'm definitely not in this to support Zuckerberg...that's for damn sure. But these glasses give me a means of capturing content for both my business and personal use from a unique perspective. To my knowledge, the content I record goes from the glasses directly to my android via bluetooth. It's not getting uploaded or shared to Meta (as far as I know), unless I choose to share it to social media...but that's my choice. Not sure what else to say on that.
I completely understand where you are coming from. If you are out on the road or out on-location and you do not have access to the internet, then you are not able to export since it would not be able to keep track of your remaining credits. I'm going to be following up with Evoto personally to discuss that particular aspect of the software to see if anything can be done in the future to allow us to use the application even while offline.
I think it would be great if these photos were put next to each other for comparison. I would say 85mm looks the best. 135 looks a bit "flat", it doesn't have "depth". Well... Just some observations. Speaking of which it looks like you've gained weight man LOL!
In this case, I had the black side facing the backdrop. I had placed them there mainly to try and absorb some of that light that would be reflecting off of the white background and heading back towards my camera. My thought process was that having a lot of light coming back towards camera could potentially affect contrast out-of-camera. It's also possible that taking them away might not have had any affect at all. I'll have to do more specific testing on results with & without to see if there is any true difference.
Thanks for this been bumbling along with Sony's own software which is tempermental at best. Finally decided to take the plunge with Capture One and don't think I'll be going back now.
Glad I could help out! I have also used the Sony Imaging Edge app in the past with mostly success but it's just not comparable to what Capture One Pro is able to offer. Good luck!
Good question! Here is a link to their website where they do say the following: (www.captureone.com/en/explore-features/tethering) "Wireless (Wi-Fi) connectivity with its freedom and convenience is revolutionising tethered shooting and Capture One now supports numerous Canon, Sony, Nikon and FUJIFILM camera models." However, it seems as though only the Z9 and D6 seem to be compatible as far as Nikon goes. Seems kinda strange though that it would be limited to only those two bodies.
