I'm about to install this kit in my XJ to try and combat rust. There isn't a very good orientation vertically so will it perform the same horizontally? I have a good place for it.
honest question, why would you design an expansion tank without a level indicator? it's already hard to judge where the coolant is, let alone this black box now.
We do not have a list of installers in your area, however, any shop that can handle performance related items should have no issues. We'd suggest giving a few local shops a call to ask.
We'd suggest contacting the team at support@mishimoto.com and providing as much information about the noise as possible and the team will be happy to look into this for you.
This is considered a universal item and we cannot determine if additional modifications to the vehicle or product will be necessary for proper fitment. Our Customer Service team will be happy to go more in depth with you if you'd like to contact them at support@mishimoto.com. Thanks!
Easy job, EXCEPT for drilling out the bash block rivets, that's the worst part of the job. I destroyed the factory oil cooler on my G42 ZTK package and had to replace it. My G42 M240ix with the ZTK package factory oil cooler looks exactly like the factory oil cooler in this video, it's mounted in the exact same location. However, on the G42, it's not tucked in like the G80, it sits low and is 100% exposed. I would have purchased this Mishi oil cooler, but it's thicker and would sit even lower, so not worth the risk the only option my only choice was the OEM cooler, but this video and the PDF made it easy. To reattach the bash block, I used a rivnut, which installs a permanent crimped threaded nut, if you've never seen this device, it's an ingenious solution to a lot of difficult issues. I also installed a skid plate designed to protect the oil cooler and don't think the bash blocks are needed, but I had the rivnuts and the tool to install so did it anyway. Mishi also makes a skid plate for MOST BMW's with this low mount oil cooler, not the G42, but most. The skid plate is an absolute NECESSITY due to how easily this cooler can be destroyed and how catastrophic the outcome can be. A Bimmerpost forum member who destroyed his oil cooler claimed they were given a $32k quote for a factory engine and install by his dealer, so the skid plate is Thanks to Mishimoto for this video!
I was looking for one of ur radiators online. I couldn’t find one for a 2015 Infiniti Q50 3.7. I only seen ones for the 3.0T. I would love one to buy an all aluminum radiator. These plastic ones suck!!!
This video is single handedly saving my ass. Mine didnt show up with any instructions or a card to link the video. Im doing the install as I type this. Only difference is my kit comes with the Mishimoto high flow intake as well
@@mishimoto Thank you, I wrapped it up last night. The video got me all the info I needed to do the job combined with the performance intake video as well! SUPER happy with the look, fit, and performance of the kit and definitely looking forward to testing the snorkel on my next wheeling trip!
Adding a second is definitely a possibility using some of our universal items, however, after testing we feel this is the best solution for the vehicle. Thanks!
