Hi Duy, so far I don’t have issue with this motor. People said Yamaha better than Suzuki. The reason i bought it, I dont want any hassle buying cheap motor like Parsun or Hengkai and dont want to spend too much for Yamaha. The cheapest seller for Suzuki motor is Blake Marine in Penrith. I bought it for $1550 while other seller price was over $1700. Hope that help.
Nice engine but u should have done some research these motors valve corrodes really fast they still havent fixed that i hope your motor doesnt end up like most of these outboards suzuki made them light but that comes with a problem that they havent fixed yet
@Mike Castillo if the suzuki is your main motor you can still run it my 2018 suzuki turned into bubble blower and started to tilt my boat so i got a Merc 5 hp just had it first hours and is great
@Mike Castillo 2 strokes are really strong but louder and bad for the envirement they are lighter they are actually banned in certain parts of my country
Outboard has performed well. So far it has done 10 hours without problem. I never tried other outboards, Prior purchased it I only compared Suzuki with parsun and yamaha. parsun was heavier, cheaper and lower quality. Yamaha more expensive, heavier and same quality.
Yeh, is why i never bought a Suzuki. If you research there is a Prep spray you can use before storing your outboard, to stop valves and piston seizing. Suzuki will deny the Problem so be warned.
