The attack on the staff is random, and to make staffs with higher potential and success rate go for an INT>TEC character with max level. That's why (or some of the reasons) this game (toram online) has a broken economy actually. Bots farming spinas have caused price inflation. Just see the price at cb today 2024.

Generally you can survive mana explosion by emptying your mana by using skills alot. However some bosses can still deal heavy damage with it even when you run out of mana
