Come along for Gardening Tips & Topics. Welcome to my channel. I am from the beautiful island of Jamaica and now living in America for many years with my lovely family. I will be doing Gardening Tips and Topics based on my personal experiences. I love flowers and sometimes I will be decorating with them. I also love to eat fruits, veggies and herbs from my garden.. Please come on the journey with me & my family. This channel was made on Mother's Day 2019 in honor of my mother who was an avid gardener and my Grandmothers who loved flowers. We do LIVE videos on Saturdays featuring a fruit, vegetable or flower. Thanks for watching and supporting. Remember to Like, Share and Subscribe. BLESSINGS. 😊

Hello Marlene. I here catching up. Beautiful sharing. The raise bed is still going strong. Wow your perennials are beautiful. Glad to know about different plants to plant to keep the bad bugs away which I never knew existed. Great sharing. I can't wait to see how they look when they actually grow 🪴🪴🪴
Thanks so much for sharing your beautiful raised beds and how they’re coming along. You are doing a great job my dear friend on your garden and thanks for a great garden tour
Thanks so much for another great garden tour. Always love coming over to your place and seeing how beautiful your flowers are thanks for sharing that beautiful butterfly also
Oh I see. Try putting it in different area with morning sun only and see if that helps if you like. It usually takes about 2 years for blooms. Best wishes. 😊
Welcome to my channel RoseBrad. If you have a plant in soil it should have the rhizome. Is it cut flowers that you have, because the rhizomes anchor the plants in the ground. Best wishes with your garden.
Hi Marlene! This video is very informative! I have not tried companion planting but i must try it! I plant besns every year also! I like to water with the hose! Your garden looks beautiful! Blessings! ❤

Hi Kellar. Welcome to my channel. These are all bearded Iris. I linked some in my description box you can click the link and it will take you to more product information. Happy Gardening. 😊
Wonderful way to start a raised bed with cinderblocks. Sweet that your mom was/is a gardener and passed on tips to you. I grew snap peas and I guess it bolted because of the hot temperatures. Great information Marlene.
Marlene, I remember when you ard your husband build that raise bed. I was definitely looking forward to seeing how you were going to use that space. So you are planting pumpkin 🎃, well I am taking notes here. I love ❤️ Marigold Bright summer colour, beautiful. But you are right the smell is a put off. Looking forward for up date . Happy 😊 gardening my friend ❤️
This’s so good! Very informative! Companion planting is a great idea! I like the way you built the raised bed. I remember seeing the video. Blessings to you and yours sis 🙏🏽💕
Good idea in using companion plants to help with vegetable garden. I use crop rotation method. Those that grow fruits/ produce above ground with those whose bear fruits above ground. ..I prefer using a hose.
Most plants hate wet feet. Some like moisture but not sitting there all the time. Japanese Iris is ok for soggy areas. You may need to look at using river pebbles or drainage pipes that flow away from the area. I don't want you to loose you plants. Beat wishes. 😊
I’m not quite sure how I got to your video, but the information was very useful. I moved in my house about 25 years ago. I had never grown an Iris in my life. I had a co-worker who loved them and had to separate hers. She asked if I would like some. I said, sure but they may not live at my house because I don’t have full sun anywhere. However, I figured they’re free so what do you have to lose? She loves purple so she gave me a box of Irises from deep dark purple to purple and white, lavender etc. I alternated them along the side of my house. The next year I had the most spectacular display of Irises. I feel in love with them and over the years have collected many other colors. I still have all the purple ones and have shared them with many other people. I just wanted to say, although I don’t have any full sun at my house, they’re do just fine. What I fine is they don’t seem to multiply as fast but they bloom just fine. One other thing, if you are in the habit of mulching every year, you may not want to do that with Irises. That will surly stop them from blooming if the rhizomes get buried under Al that mulch. I don’t mulch.
Sounds lovely, purple shades and white. I don't encourage mulching very much because it makes them susceptible to root rot and leaf borers. We love using a single layer of river pebbles. Thanks for sharing your story and welcome to my channel. 😊 🌸 🌿
