I make stuff for fun and to learn. Every project or experiment usually has to do with art, science, both art and science, or to satisfy some nagging curiosity. Planning is for losers, build first and ask questions later!!!! Oh, I live in Maine now so there will be a fair about of snow and tick-related loathing.
I use my Stream Deck mostly just to control music easily on my personal laptop that is docked while I work. I find you don't have to have the window "open" or "focused" to switch songs. I setup a previous button, a play/pause button and a next button all using the "Multimedia" actions (Previous Track, Play/Pause, and Next Track). I also have volume controls (decrease, increase and mute). I also have a button to open Amazon Music - but the thing I haven't figured out yet is how to shuffle a specific playlist to get it started each day. But it will play whatever one I've already started from a previous day once it's open, etc.
If my calculations are correct it looks like it is spinning about one rotation per second or 60RPM. Would you say about 45RPM is a good ballpark or would you go even less RPM?
My husband and I and a couple of our family attended this last night. It was an awesome experience ! #first concert #scottymccreeryfan Thank you for sharing 🙂
I wonder how long the wood pulleys will last. They seem to be a little wobbly. My end goal is to make a cabinet tumbler so I can run a bunch all at once. The barrels are so freaking expensive though.
Its been 4 years. Wobbly cause I didnt use a drill press. Other than that - there is no real points of rubbing friction... if the tension is right and the belt isnt slipping. Looking at them now, guessing 10 years
I just unboxed mine and am clueless as I am not too knowledgeable about sewing machines either. Presser foot is here but not connected. Yours is the first video I decided to watch. Going to go to the link you have for more detail. I really had a good laugh watching this. I agree that you and Kelsey should do videos. 😂
Cerious if you do this during the summer to try and dull down the noise with maybe a towel over it as well. Would that be OK with the heat? Will it get to hot or effect anything do you know. I have close neighbors.
There was a link for refurbished units BUT I ended up using a discount coupon because the unit stopped working: www.singer.com/machines/view-all When I returned the broken reburb, they gave me 20% off me next purchase.
Bravo.......got one going my self........dc worm drive......runs solar.....big screw on thermos or 5 gallon water container .....polyurethane ribs on inside ......cheers.....
Seriously all of you trying to reinvent the wheel, it's not that complicated, take a plastic card fold it in half and drop it in the end opposite of the motor, the card is the same size as the radius of the barrel, you don't need a welder or drill or skateboard wheel or shower door wheels none of that, the bands will delaminate and split, so use a large O ring instead.
I have one hf unit and 2-4lb TumbleBee units. The solution for me want to reengineer the cheap unit, I simply upgrade to a higher quality product. Done deal.
