Hmmmm....you didn't really say how to install the boards. Do you have to finish the ends on a stud? How do you join the ends that the tongue and groove are cut off? What are the recommended overlaps?
Is this demo video for real? 0:24 the installers are installing the weather barrier wrap over the studs with NO sheathing beneath. On the website it clearly states "Hardie™ Weather Barrier is installed over the sheathing-beneath the exterior siding-to reduce water and air infiltration." ??? Why are the installers in this video along with the graphics in the video showing otherwise?
Seriously... red earth desert meets coastal white!? Hampton is just NOT practical in this environment... nor at all a practical design for the location... Pretty, but not practical

Absolutely stunning. There are aspects of this that would make my dream home! The vertical cladding inside and out, polished concrete floors, downstairs high ceiling for starters..... definitely something to consider for people in the position to build a new home.

I'm keen on using this product.just wondering if anyone here has installed it and can confirm if water actually drains through the decking once those snap in strips are installed ? I can't tell if it's perferated from the video and it shows no mention of it on the instillation instructions. Looks like it could be a potential Watters pooling issue on larger decks ...
So glad these are about to be released. I was devastated when it looked like it was only ever going to be a NZ product. I'll be using them in the same staggered pattern on my pavilion home when I build next year but in White.
