fantastic work, love the acl and southern, just got my first "real loco" yesterday lol. a rivet counter gp30 southern with dcc and sound and its amazing. what brand are you running for the f units? I also have a nice walthers southern fw7 it's nice also but sound on the rivet is amazing.
@@jimmyat460 how the heck do you get your battery out with the rear basket length wise? What a pain in the tuchus those panniers and baskets turned out to be.
I don't have a problem. I lift up the battery to release it from it's cradle and work it out thru the bottom by the frame of the bike. I can't transport my bike with batteries installed because of the weight, so I'm always putting them on and off.@@Vnachi8
Thank you gentlemen for your trouble in sharing this experience. I’m a new certified trail steward for the Emerald Trail in Jacksonville (baby Beltline)The Beltline is so beautiful I’m hoping we can accomplish half of what you have in Atlanta! Hope to get there soon enough!
I have this model, I don't use it much just from home to work, I've had it for 5 months and it barely stops starting, it doesn't start with the button or the assist, you can hear a small noise in the engine and the rear tire breaks. I'm tied up, I can't push it in reverse. Does anyone know what it is due to? Thank you
That is some serious Amtrak power on the front of that train, love it!!! That's also my fav Amtrak engine of all time and paint scheme, cool video! -Ken
Love the night time vibes on the layout and all the buildings lit up etc, really cool!!! Is that the BLI Shark Nose, if so how do ya like it, saw they have another run coming out soon and I was thinking about grabbing one. Cool Video, I Sub'd you channel! -Ken
Thanks Ken! Those are my nephew's. I was re-programing them for him BUT when he got them back home, a B-unit quit working. They are older BLI units meaning the decoders probably needs to be replaced. Thanks for watching and commenting.
I got it from Amazon. I got this one because it has a longer cable from the button on the handlebar to the camera and it's in 1080p. (Bike Camera Rechargeable Battery 360° Rotation - Color Night Vision 3 Mins Easy Installation Wide View Handlebar 4.3'' HD 1080P Monitor Bicycle Rear View Camera for Mountain Ebike) And I had to do a little extra to mount it on the rear of my basket. Normally it would mount on the seat post. Hope you find this info helpful!
? Could you demonstate on the road in a real world demonstration what the rear camera actally shows? (I'm worried about blind spots which you don't have to worry about when you add regular mirrors on each handlebar end) (I'm also strugling to appreciate any advantage the camera offers over regular mirrors?)
I think mirrors will give you more of whats behind you but you have to look at the left one or right one. The advantage of the camera is that you don't have to look right or left, it is right in front of you. The disadvantage is the screen is not that big. You can't see as well as i'd like to. I upgraded to a 1080p which is very clear. I'll be 80 in October, so I can't turn my head and look back so the camera was a perfect option for me. My go pro is mounted on the handlebar, so I can't do a demo you asked for.
@@flolou8496 I installed the bag to the rack and installed the basket over it. The bag had holes where the basket could be screwed in place. All are Fucare products.
This is much clearer than anything I have seen on this topic. Many thanks. I REALLY don't want to try to build the trucks from the kit. Leveling those looks like a nightmare...
I'm not sure I'd recomment what I did. It works on some cars but it wasn't the best way to secure the trucks to the body of the cars. I suggest finding a way to use screws or bolts with a nut on the other end. I couldn't follow how others explained how to do it, so I did what I thought would work but was not too pleased with the results.
I'm having to deal with the same nightmare on 12 E&B valley kits I built. The walthers trucks are great roles, have great detail- but damn they are a pain in the ass to mount on anything but a walthers car. I bought the universal adapters to try first
