apologies but in all honesty it could do with a different camera position to reduce the no of views of your back and body parts obscuring some of the work being done. it's great stuff to watch if we can see it.
I agree totally, but it's hard with the camera I have.. I don't get much money from the channel and affording a go pro at the moment is impossible.. I'll do my best not to get in the way.. thanks for your support 🙏
Ahh the beauty of a front engine and rear wheel drive the ability to start an engine with the starting handle. I think the last cars to have that ability were Lada but not the last model. It still had the cog on the front of the engine and a hole in the bumper bar for the starting handle to go through but it had a change in the radiator and it blocked the path of the handle. Erm sorry erm I digressed a bit there, it’s an age thing you know but I’m harmless 😂
Love the van what a great colour I drove one of these bedford vans in the fist job i had late 50s still think about the hot days with the door open driving down the road, happy days.
Very exciting news, but please don’t call them Robin Reliants the Company who made Robins and Regals (Delboys Van) are called The Reliant Motor Company so it’s Reliant Regal, Reliant Robin,Reliant Scimitar it’s like saying Cortina Ford,or Marina Morris 🙂
I kept expecting Sir David Attenborough to pop up, here in deepest England lives a rare tribe of van collectors who keep and worship Bedfords. They are rarely seen and have never been filmed before !!
A CA was the very first vehicle I drove. Apparently the 2nd one my dad owned still exists LVP 923F a minibus conversion to motor caravan is still on DVLA system but with no tax or MOT. Could be it was never registered as scrapped or it still exists. Would like to know if anyone knows anything about it
CJ in the registration denotes it originated from Hereford and Worcester, I have a wonderful copy of I spy car numberplate,s from the 1960,s , I still refer to it a lot, it's full of useful information.
My late uncle Ted used to have a Bedford CA minibus(he had a big family-a lot of cousins!) I loved it. Maroon and cream with red leather or vinyl seats. So smart!
My Dad had one years ago for his job.The only thing l remember were of course were the sliding doors and the best thing for me was the starter button between the seats!
Hi John, enjoy the two vids. I’ve watch so far. Started with Bedford camper given to me by my father in 1974! Had a great interest since then! Look forward to watching More cheers!👍
I vividly remember as an 8 yr old sitting on the passenger inner wing, door open and singing the Number one of the time, Manfred Mans' Do Wah Diddy, going through Kilbirnie in Scotland. No radio in the van, just dads radio sitting on top of the dash. Halcion days, dad had a few CAs at the yard back in the late 50s, early 60s. Stuck with Bedfords until the last, more reliable than the transits!
