My name Is Steve and this channel is about my spare time hobby of cycling
I started live rides on Zwift in January 2024 as I ride a LOT indoors.
Also on my channel you'll find unboxing and reviews of new bike parts, complete bike builds from start to finish, tips and tricks I have picked up from trial and error along the way and my thoughts on all things bike.
Thanks for watching! PLEASE Like, Subscribe and HIT THE BELL!!
The quick-links do indeed point in the direction of chain travel. For Shimano chains, the writing needs to be facing the mechanic. The quick-links are oriented in opposite directions, so make sure the arrows point in the correction direction from the perspective of both sides.
I just use a normal candle and melt into wax. Add nothing into it onto my cannondale super bike, it just works perfectly. Did not buy those so call professional or expert wax.
Cool to see an older video. I like the method of cleaning the cassette, not sure it needs the wax. Wax has also come a long way. There are quality off the shelf products available with stellar performance. Ive been using silca secret wax but am switching to molten speed wax (new formula). They are the two top performers tested by zerofriction. Neither are soft when cold, nor do they contain paraffin oil. Molten speed wax even comes with "no oil" stickers! Come join the dark side!
Hello friend, I am having the same problem with my roller, the sound is too annoying and I have tried many ways to eliminate it, now I have to try your solution. Excellent video, I hope it goes well.
I just did exactly the same thing. I'd been using the Bont Riots for a few years but lately felt my left foot getting numb during a ride. I don't have a wide foot but so many cycling shoes seem to be too narrow. I deciced to look around for a new shoe and tried on the CX242 wide. They feel so comfortable right from the beginning. I went from a size 42 on the Bont to a 41 on the Lake. In fairness the Lake is a far more expensive shoe than the Riot.
Hi, I have narrow feet but have issues with the 3rd and 4th toes pushed up against the sides of my shoes. The bony widest portion on the inside of my feet are 2cm closer to the big toe than the bony widest portion of the outside of my feet (ie. closer to the heel). When measuring the width going directly across each bony portion, its around 100mm, but when drawing parallel lines the spacing is 110mm. So not sure I should get a reg or wide fit. I did try a half size larger (44) in a 241W and the toe box was not big enough for the 3rd/4th toes. I'm closer to a 43.5 and wondering if I should get a reg or wide fit. If you tried the regular, can you summarize the differences with a wide? If wide in the toe box primarily that would work for me but if wider with more volume throughout the shoe, my feet might be swimming in a 242W. thanks
Now using the Lake size chart wearing socks and adding 5mm as they say to do my size comes out to 44.5 in a wide.A lake sales rep told me to size up to a 45 wide. Can I ask what you did for size??
I got 2 of these handlebars and they have even outlasted one bike and now being used in a new bike build. Highly recommend these handle bars, have been using them for many years.
I use an original unpadded Infinity saddle. I put a Fox cover on it so I don't have to field comments on every ride. It is the only saddle that does not generate any issues whatsoever in the posterior region. I will buy another if this one ever breaks. Works for me. I noticed a commenter said his seat(s) had broken. I have had mine about 5 years and no problem.
Such an unnecessary experiment but so important for my decision when buying or already bought. Ps mine arrived yesterday but I didn't want to take that risk by testing it like this. 😂
What kind of shorts were you using, almost all shorts today have that ridiculous thick padding. We don't need padding we need a thin anti-friction layer, somehow this friction layer has morphed into a padding monster where seems are thick and cut deep. I am going to buy a sewing machine if I can't get the same shorts I used 35 years ago in my pro racing days. Some very rare triathlon shorts are out there with this thinner friction layer, but are rare and impossible to find. Most of the shorts are designed for conventional saddles, you may try some Lycra shorts with no liner to see if the ISM work better for you on a short ride, if yes, then you and I may have to make our own shorts.
Thank you for this video. Been wondering about these, but my main concern is the width at the horn, these are very wide and I have very large wide legs, the inside of my legs will probably be rubbing on his horn and not possible to use...IF the sit bones are back in the traditional position of a saddle. Maybe we are to ride with the sit bones much farther forward?
It's great that you can stay in zone 2 for a long time on zwift, I find it really hard staying in zone 2 I tend to get bored and want to start chasing other riders down. Chappo
