The room correction feature; Is this also compensating for suboptimal placement of speakers, e.g. diverting from optimal Atmos placement, like Trinnov does?
Hi There, No Storm doesn't have the 'remapping' feature. It is typically optimised for the 'sweet spot' seat that the measurements are taken from but other seating locations outside of this 'sweet spot' can in some instances experience counteractive results, and so it's not a feature that they are looking to implement any time soon.
@@HabitechLimited Ok, it might be that I confused remapping with something else? What I am talking about is suboptimal placement of speakers according to, e.g., the Atmos standard and the ability to compensate sonically for this, accordingly. I am not referring to any alternate seating position. My understanding was that Storm is working with this…..
@@DistinctiveMusic Hey! The feedback from Storm is that we're definitely talking about the same thing, the remapping feature, by definition, works for a given reference seat/location in the room. It will indeed “remap” the decoded signals virtually to where the speaker is expected to be, creating a new phantom image. But the issue we found is that as soon as you move away from the “reference” seat, you can get worse results than with the initial “sub-optimal” placement. Because of these side effects, they didn’t activate this feature in their product. I hope this clarifies the answer a little more for you.

Great video and beautiful house. You could make these videos much longer to give us a better incite into the room such as the rack etc. but I guess you guys have to focus on your products only. Would have been interesting to know the position of the subs as I have two S90 subs positioned at the rear of my room
Thanks for your feedback Mark! In the room there are 4 S90i Subs, 2 at the front behind the screen and 2 at the sides towards the rear of the room, inverted with the ports at the top. The door at the back of the room wouldn't let us position them in the ideal location, but the REW software we use for placement advised us this would be the best location for the rears given the circumstances😊
@@HabitechLimited thanks for that. My room is only 20m2 and these two subs positioned about 1m from my seating position pack a massive punch. What are the dimensions of this room? Numerous AV forum members saying it’s possibly the best bass they have experienced. I’ve got P4m for my LCR and P2m for surrounds after coming down to Habitech a couple of years ago! Fantastic experience in your wisdom demo rooms! You cannot beat PMD for speed and clarity
Great video...however, I think you could really grow your channel if you could do a LOT more videos for Cambium. Nobody has any new videos to use cnMaestro! You have the latest video but for someone new, trying to learn cnMaestro...while your video is great...I need a lot of basic videos showing me the basic setup of starting out with cnMaestro. Just some food for thought for you. I am a fellow RU-vidr...and I know how helpful videos like these are for our subscribers. THANKS
Let's take a moment to talk about the awesome technology delivering this incredible audio experience. We've used an innovative setup to deliver the ultimate sound quality, and here's a simple breakdown of how it works: First, we connect the DJ's decks to an Audinate Dante AVIO analogue 2-channel input adapter using a balanced XLR output. This ensures studio-grade audio quality and ultra-low latency, which is crucial for a flawless DJ performance. The audio signals are then transported overour network using Dante technology, which allows for seamless and high-quality digital audio transmission. We plug the Ethernet into our Netgear AV Line switch for efficient routing. Using Dante Controller software, we connect the inputs and outputs to a Sonifex Audiophile Dante converter. This high-quality device converts the digital audio signals into 24/192 unbalanced analogue audio, which is then fed into the Storm ISP Core 16 Processor. In the processor, we set the profile to 'No Dirac' and enable the low latency feature. This ensures that the DJ's headphone output is perfectly in sync with the speakers, creating a seamless performance. The analogue signal is then sent from the Storm Processor to the Wisdom SA-3 and SA-2 power amps, which provide consistent power to the Wisdom L75 line source speakers and the Wisdom STS regenerative transmission line subwoofer to deliver crystal clear, epic sound and fast, clean basslines for the ultimate DJ experience. We're using two Nexo ID14T speakers, paired with an IDS110 subwoofer, to provide crystal-clear audio and powerful bass for in-booth monitoring. These compact yet powerful speakers are perfect for DJ monitors. Powering this impressive setup is a Nexo DTD 1.3 amplifier, combined with a DTD loudspeaker processor. This advanced combo ensures flawless loudspeaker management and built-in limiting to protect the system while delivering an incredible 100dB+ of sound. The entire system uses balanced I/O with high-quality Neutrik connectors, ensuring a reliable and stable connection for the best possible audio experience. To make things even simpler, the Nexo Dory software is an incredibly user-friendly software that allows for easy programming and setup of the system, ensuring optimal performance for our live DJ set! Great news, it's available for PC, Mac, and Android! If you're keen to understand more about this awesome little set up reach out in the comments or get in touch with your Habitech account manager. Fantastic information. Feedback though ..the camera movement was a bit excessive on the Middle Atlantic portion. I was getting a bit seasick, I think the issue is the cameraman is going back and forth rather than just doing a pan and pullback which would have kept visual interest without simulating a rocking motion.
Excellent Video, amazing training tool to be able to get a complete overview of the whole suite of Sonance products in less than 30mins....... And some sweet new innovation too.
