Well how’s it holding up? Did it get hotter at all for you and are you enjoying it? I just got one today so I’m excited, I put a wrap on it as the handle seemed a little small but the knob is definitely money as is.
Mine ended up lasting about 1,500 swings til it blew up. After 600 swings, it was still holding at 240 on the compression tester. It became a rocket launcher around that 600 swings mark. I loved this bat.
You mentioned you weren’t very impressed with the 2022 krecher. Did it ever hear up? Any guess as to why the 2023 has so much more exit velo than the 2022?
It did improve more. The 2022 sits at a higher compression and needs quite a few swings before it's ready for a game. Once it was game ready, it just never wow'd me. The 2023 is the exact opposite. It's game ready out of the wrapper and performs well. Not the greatest 240 bat I've swung, but it's solid.
I have not swung the short barrel, but I heard it's good. This year they made it a full ounce endload instead of a half ounce. It will be similar to The Grand I imagine.
Only 25 more swings or so have been put on it since making this. I've been swinging different things as the season is approaching for me locally for ASA, but no durability concerns at all. Swings well and hits the ball great. I'm just not a stiff handle fan, so these bats for me personally go into hiding when my seasons start rolling.
I bought the Sinister and used it all last season. At first I liked it but my batting avg dropped almost 100 pts from the prior year so it's now firmly planted in my bag as a back up bat. I went back to my 2020 Krecher and my batting avg is back up. Idk its obviously me and not the bat but I prefer the Krecher. Honestly, the Sinister just feels too light and the sweet spot is much smaller.
M2 and M5 are the same barrel tech and fib just different paint process which is why the barrel may seem softer,great video !!if you want to try out some other m5 2 piece bats let me know
@@joelgonzalez4455 M2/M5 with Monsta seems to be extremely durable. In my experience, the Krechers are durable too. I have over 6K swings on my 2021 Krecher and it's still super hot. I'd say it comes down to preference. Monsta M2 is very hot and durable. Krecher has a huge sweet spot, and better feel. I get more touch and control with the Krecher for my swing, so I lean towards it personally. I don't like having to purchase Monstas warranty. You are unable (to my knowledge) to transfer warranty if you end up selling the Monsta. Miken/Worth you get a 1 year warranty included that can be transferred when selling it used.
FYI the clacking isn’t a good thing most of the time. If it’s way easy that means the FIB is broken/loose. I just sent my 2016 Bombardier back got it replaced, it picked up performance after I got it back. You can swing it when we hit together next. Good videos my friend!! I've said that same thing and was told I was wrong and that the clacking is good. I've seen them clack like crazy fresh out the wrapper. I have no idea with these bats lol
I haven't swung alot of Eastons so I'd need to swing a Kapow to really feel it out. So far, I'm enjoying mine. Getting decent velo for my swing and I seem to swing it well. Did about 70 live swings today. I'm personally a fan of it but I'm going to see how it holds up when I get 200 more swings on it.
Nice comparison. Looks like the m5 vs m2 debate is more of a feel and less of performance. Where did that Torch come from!!! I don't remember it being that hot
Just remember: E=MC2 where in softball E=Distance M=Bat Mass C=Bat Speed Thus speed is only one variable. Mass - where the ball hits the bat is equally or maybe even more important. If you're not hitting the sweet spot it won't matter what your bat speed is. It won't be a solid hit. And lets not forget the swing itself - is it level? Its why I do not like all these velocity demonstrations. Very misguided and I like that you tell your viewers that its not just the bat but rather what you are comfortable with.

great video guys.....I use the Unleashed and it was my 1st Monsta bat...took a bit to get used to it because it was a lot heavier on the end than most of my 1/2 ounce endloaded other bats but once I gamed it, Holy Smokes, it hit nothing but line drives and HARD....as I got used to lifting it a little, the ball just jumped...I picked up a Monsta DB44 this year which is a Torch and it needs some swings and a bit heavier than the Unleashed...it's still a great bat but the Unleashed stays in #1 spot for now.....Try the Onyx First Born 2nd Batch and see what that does for you guys....nice pop too
I've owned 6 or 7 Krechers so far and they're all different. I've had one take 20 swings, and I've had one take 300 swings. I've noticed the ones that take longer, are noticeably more hot. I'd say most take 150 swings, in my experience. I have one currently that has 5K swings. It's scary hot, but I have another that has 500 swings and is just no where as hot. I'd say keep swinging it, hopefully it just needs more breaking in and then hits that extra gear.
I find alot of Monsta bats swing weight to be often inconsistent across many models. One example being 25oz Flip Money advertised with .5oz endload swings much heavier than a 25oz DNA Legacy advertised as a 1oz endload.
Most all monsta bats swing heavy. But they consistently swing heavy. All sinisters swing the same. They aren't inconsistent. It's just how they are designed.
We agree with you, between all the handle, tech, FIB variables, We find Monsta’s to be wildly inconsistent in weighting and performance. Sweetspots do seem to be more towards the endcaps.
I only swung demarini and never cared to try monsta until two days ago I swung a black sheep 26.5 and hit eight out. Even the mishits were going. It did feel heavy but I didn't have a problem. I ordered three of them since
Great video and review. You are right you don't just pickup a Monsta bat and swing. It is different that the other bats. I heard such great reviews on the balanced i figured the endload one would be great.
This one I'm borrowing from a friend for this winter. I'm putting in a full size cage in the fall. They definitely are expensive. Especially if you want to turf the ground. Maybe ask your local schools or rec if they have any old ones or extras they'd let go of.
Mine is a 26oz. They swing true to weight, so swing what you feel comfortable with. It really just depends on what you like, but I personally feel I get a little bit more bat speed with a 26oz.
Awesome. I bought a new 25oz 2021 USA and just picked up the 2020 military green one in a 26oz USA model. I wasn't sure how they'd feel. I'm a big boy and used to be a 28oz bat guy. But like many others I've listened to the science and dropped the ounces a bit. Hopefully the 25oz isn't too light. I'm looking forward to swinging them.
great job.....in a nutshell you hit it right on the head for what bat is right for each hitter...a lot of guys look at numbers, but I go by feel and what it looks like coming off the bat...i love your set up in the barn though....i need that badly
Been on the lookout for a video coming soon! I actually hit higher velos with a Krecher than I do with a Torch or Sinister. Just fits my swing better. Hoping to have it done this weekend.
299' in left, and immediately jumps out to about 310' in left center, and 322' in center. Stays that way for a bit and goes down to 294' in right field.
