I think the 455 was on a test run. It came in and went out empty, so definitely was not in service. The 73 went down to Eastleigh to pick up the two barrier vehicles.
Never to be seen again. Shame 1348 hardly appears, as John Crossley and myself, plus a few others, worked damned hard to get it there. Lower saloon only, as we found woodworm in the top deck floor (and had not paid its fare). It has the right route number on then, and 1812 had the adverts I painted on when I restored it from being Spanish ! Shame ner'do'noughts have to spoil others hard work.
It's wonderful to see this if only by video (next year maybe?) but I would love some dialogue to provide more detail. But thanks for the hard work, I'm enjoying it!
Admiration to the dedicated enthusiasts who made these engines & rolling stock; to those who laid the track etc. and all who make this a great experience for young and old.

Thank you. Nice to have a video without stupid music on top so you can actually hear them, tne collector wheels clacking over the joints. I haven't been on one since a out 1965/66 here in Bournemouth. I would love to know if they are having a Bournemouth running day again. Long way to go without seeing at least one running.

WOW. I’m so glad that this locomotive which is my personal favourite by the way, is saved and running on a fantastic narrow gauge railway that is absolutely the most perfect home for both the loco & carriages. Excellent video of launch day 👍
The trolleybuses are stored at the back of the tram depot, because at present there isn't anywhere to run them. They are building a 1950s town and the trolleybus route will run through that when it is finished.
Nice to see some of the old buses they all seem to have a caricature about them not like these modern buses just square boxes of fibre glass, plastic and metal. Alan. Merseyside.

I have heard word that lil' locomotive looks like one of those pillarboxes that you see over in the UK. Shockingly, a pillarbox with wheels on rails. I've seen photos of pillarboxes, and to me they look like large fire hydrants that folks can slip their mail envelopes in for the mailperson to come and check. (I live in America, so I'm guessing mail service there in Britain is pretty much the same).
I never get tired of watching the varied variety of working exhibits on a fine dry day. Wish they had a longer straight extension that would be a sight to see them going along! That looked like an intensive service, a good day out.
