Ramsey’s eye is looking a bit gummy. He’s clearly well taken care of but it might be a sign of an eye infection. My cats get them from time to time for seemingly no reason. Might be good to get it looked at. ❤
Yes- we checked him tonight, this is a new thing. There was a lot of catnip in his enclosure and I think some got in his eye, cleaning helps keep debris down. So far the discharge is tears (i.e. clear discharge) but we will monitor this a few times a day. Thanks for noticing!!
I have see on some other short films on the same subject of the yellow stitching on Dr Martens. Like you show here with given them a good old scrub with saddle soap. Some people have also suggested also going over them with a yellow felt tip pen as well. 😊
@@johnmclean4911 Good suggestion, they can get bleached over time. So the felt tip thing might work for a bit, yellows in markers are generally fugitive (they fade). The good news with saddle soap is that it’s specifically made for lifting leather polish so it really does a great job on the stitching!

Hello!good job!Après le premier nettoyage,j'aurais masqué le fil jaune avec du scotch afin de les protéger du cirage noir!Sinon les made in England c'est autre chose que les Chinoises!!!
@@arnaudberger1730 sorry for my French, it’s not so good 😊 C’est une bonne suggestion de masquer les coutures pour protéger la couleur jaune. 😜
Godspeed for full recovery, adorable baby! I hope you'll get a forever loving home where you'll never know pain, suffering, abuse or neglect, ever. Amen.🙏🙏❤❤
Thank you so much for taking the time to make this video!!! I just had a busted hook and was worried about how to switch it out. I'm really glad I found your video that walked it through step by step. The idea of switching out the hook is a 100% less scary than it was before your video. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

My heart to yours Stephen!!! You came into mind just of late, May 2024, because of what a political opponent has done here in the United States. NEVER can this be allowed ANYWHERE!!!
Thanks! Its good to try lots of different types of tea. I like a strong breakfast blend in the morning but usually go for lower caffeine options after 11 or so. Big fan of mint and ginger options but bear in mind these will work better with lower temp water! Appreciate the feedback 🤪
It is an amazing place, from the Field restaurant to the tea salon. The basement food ball, the china and kitchen ware selection and of course tea and biscuits! I love the sweet counter too, they do the best licorice!!
Great video! One question - I've had problems with placing the seconds hand on movements before. I do well on hour and minute (they are a lot larger), but the seconds hand is downright tiny, and it's very easy to *just* miss the right spot for it. Any advice?
Heh. I think it took me about three sessions of about ten minutes each. The trick for me is to do it by feel. I put the hand on some rodico and eyeball it centered, then move it back and forth and side to side. You get a bit of a feel for the sides of the tube bumping over the seconds hand pinion😃. Honestly I watch some of the really skilled RU-vid watch guys and am in awe of how fast they seem to do this! Main thing is to relax, have fun, and avoid forcing anything. If you feel you are getting frustrated just put it all aside and try again later 😜👍🏽
Uncrease how? The leather will get creases from wear, thats normal. If you store a boot and the flap gets creased over (for example above the ankle) then softening with dubbin or DM Wonder Balm will help to soften the leather and make the crease less noticeable as you wear it. Shoe trees to stretch once you have softened and moisturised the leather will also help.

Well. The short answer is yes, but you want to avoid getting too much soap on the leather. If you use the masking tape trick that will help. Regular soap is not great for leather, it tends to dry it out and make it crack. Saddle soap is made with natural ingredients like beeswax, neatsfoot oil, or lanolin, which gives it moisturizing properties that are beneficial for leather. Regular soap, on the other hand, is often made with synthetic ingredients that can be harsh on leather. Make sense?
Shoes and boots are designed to be used in wet weather. These were originally designed in the UK where it is not uncommon for precipitation to fall from the skies! 😀 You do want to dry the boots before polishing for best results though. If you ever do really soak them (for example a really wet day on a building site) you can air dry them and use the method in my other video to polish them up.
@@Vinay99266You can, but I’m less keen on the idea if you are talking about kleer. Ultimately polish is, what it is. The french Sapir stuff is probably the best. Trickers in the UK rebrand it. But it’s spendy. KIWI is cheap but has silicone in it so as you build it up it will crack, and need to be stripped back every few weeks or so. You can hit it with a hot teaspoon (use a candle to heat it) but don’t burn it off. Thats how I used to do Army boots years ago. The liquid floor polish like Kleer can be used but it’s harsh on leather, and you have to strip it from time to time. Personally I use the Trickers/saphir black shoe cream to moisturise the leather and then build up coat after coat of clear polish, doing little circles with a cotton “chamios” cloth. Small amount of polish, small amount of water, repeat, repeat. Wait a couple days for it to harden, repeat again. Over a week or so you get a mirror shine that really lasts. Lots of Mirror shine videos on yt. Maybe I’ll do one too 🤪
Too polluting I guess. The Kaiser Permenente plant in cupertino also shuttered last year: cementproducts.com/2022/11/16/lehigh-closes-permanente-cement-plant/ so it’s the end of an era for this type of rail traffic in the area.
@@coolguy8414 they used to tag a couple spine cars with lumber to drop in Santa Cruz and (I think) the big trees and roaring creek rr (a tourist railroad in Boulder Creek) would haul them up to San Lorenzo lumber, but I suspect that is all over now. The line to Salinas from Santa Cruz is pretty much disused now. Operationally It might make an interesting model RR layout (highly compressed obviously). The street running in Santa Cruz was fun to watch a couple times a week!
Don’t forget to unroll your hat and remove from the tube as soon as you get where you are going, you probably don’t want to leave it rolled in the tube for more than 24 hours!
