It's easy to be depressed. So many things in life go wrong every day. You make a mistake and feel like it can never be fixed. Sometimes it is a problem that cannot be fixed. It is a sad, dark world. Are you lonely? You can say what you want. You don't have to tell me the truth. I already know it. That's why you're still talking to me. That's why you haven't gotten up and left. You're lonely. Whether you want to admit it or not, you are lonely. It's okay. I am, too. *I smile again. I reach out and brush some hair out of your eyes like a loving, caring father might.* *Then I lean in real close, and whisper one last time:* *Why are you still breathing I don’t love myself and never will; I’m a disappointment to my family; my friends hate me and wish they never met me; I’ll never achieve my dreams; I’m never good enough; the people I love don’t love me back and would be better off if I never lived.”* *I smile and hug you close.* *You are the worst disappointment I’ve ever seen. You’re not even worth that much time. The tragedy of being too sincere is that you give too much of your heart. Sadness teaches you more than happiness because it’s a long, slow wave, unlike happiness, which is a spike. It’s like a long sad song against a happy short song. A sad song teaches you about the meaning of life. The worst thing about suffering the loss of a loved one is the sudden realization that the future you had planned with them no longer exists. Some people can’t help but try to fix people who are too broken. If you’ve never had something break your heart, I don’t think you can ever truly be happy. Don't let one person define yourself. If you change to please one person, you're guaranteed to displease another. The worst part of the pain of losing someone you care about is the fact that time never seems to heal it. No matter how much time passes, missing someone can still feel the same. Even though it hurts now, the memory will make you smile later. The more you care about someone, the easier they are to hurt. You have to pretend that every bad goodbye is just a 'see you later.' The only thing more painful than losing you is thinking about all the things I'll never have the chance to say. Sometimes the person you love most, can really be your biggest downfall. Sometimes I wonder why I am so afraid of death, when I know that’s the only way to escape the pain of life. Your presence is everywhere, even in your absence. The hardest part of waking up in the morning is realizing every day that you’re not there. Even after everything, I still care about you.
