Ok, so I am formerly known as "YourMameMan" or "KlassicMK", but because I apparently uploaded a copyrighted video on the KlassicMK channel, RU-vid deleted BOTH my accounts because they had the same email address associated with them. It sucks, but it's not the end of the world.
Hi Mike revisiting some old repair videos, mate quick question with regards to the temperature of the rework gun when you remove u91? and do you use this method with larger ic's like 68k cpu's etc, no flux just heat? Cheers Franky
Greetings Franky. I run my gear at 800F. And yes, no flux. Just heat. There’s plenty of flux in the solder. Not really necessary (in my opinion) when removing chips. Now when installing chips, flux is very necessary.
They are axial film caps as opposed to electrolytic caps. They don’t have electrolyte in them and don’t fail like electrolytic caps do. Therefore, they don’t require replacement. Hope that explains it.
Hey bro I have a t-unit which briefly shows the version on-top when in test mode or graphics in game mode and immediately resets, goes into a reset loop. No bridged pins underneath, have you seen this at all with a t unit?
Reseat the two PLCC chips. (The two chips in the brown sockets). You’ll need one of these… www.amazon.com/a06111000ux0025-Professional-Extractor-WTS-610-Assisted/dp/B007Q8J2HG/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?crid=3B6BX5UTSUKVX&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.expfddhxoGm-jm3h_fYx9GtqswC2r7z05h7969xvpHjL-3pZpscZXzB6tCPmbIg5B3xOx97AXkLsSkXt1g3hg_amruPzdKS9iVB99Tno4EObE-5DlthkjD9J9O1i-Pw9bRSwyx1JLCWcLpVgXAWU4ELkGIZZKQq--M9W_MuQYpeNfz869-JeGnaOdFHH1sXJf4ZkQb9lP5hC1qa-HgDhjg.Blz08GXEk5yMpCIELIfowTMv-k6u_IWxb-cxv8BVtb0&dib_tag=se&keywords=plcc+extractor&qid=1723470598&sprefix=plcc+%2Caps%2C99&sr=8-3
Yes, but you need the correct UF5 and UF17 chips. Only source would be from a “parts” board. Each T-Unit game uses a different custom UF5/UF17 to tell it what game is installed.
no chance youll ever see this, but do you still have this? i really cant find a working build of this for the life of me, and the mediafire link doesnt work anymore
ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-djotsvRLZQM.html HI buddy I watch your videos and love them, but I am having the same issue as this guy in the video.... Do you know what it could be? I keep getting 4 player inputs on 49 way stuck in the test menu and no inputs on the main game. let me know if you have any ideas
When I was 12 I won a Mortal Kombat tournament that the Captron World of Nintendo store held and won an MK machine. We had it by the front door and I was the most popular kid in the neighborhood. I played it so much I could beat the game without getting hit with most characters. Fun times. I sold it when I was 15 for $800 and used the money to buy my first car.
The camera looks great. I’ve got to upgrade mine. I’ve always noticed the pause the characters do after jumping in on the endurance matches. I wonder if it was intentional, a glitch or a hardware limitation. The Goro battle has a pause too after it says “Fight”. I also kept hearing the fan on your Stern machines and think my pinball was left on 😂
It’s a quirk of the game being on the Normal difficulty. They don’t do that on Very Hard (for the most part). Still does it on Goro though. Yeah, Elvira was running because I was going to play it after this video.
The camera that was filming the controls was running at 45fps while the camera recording the screen was 60fps. I didn't realize this so the buttons are a bit ahead of the action for the first half of the video, but they are perfect from there on out. I could not fix this in editing. My apologies. I'll get it right the next time.
nice videos, how did you adjust the contrast, i cant get contrast like you did, when i have gray color instead dark picture, when i turn down brightness it becom to dark
@YourMKArcadeSource : Hi on the 9 pins of the sound card power supply. the negative 5 volts (-5 v pin 6) connected to ground has a value of 3.35 Mega ohms. On the other hand, between the +5 volt pin (+5 v pin 8) and ground I obtain a value of 600 ohms. what do you think would be the problem?
