That sure proved the sceptics wrong that train traveled from Willesden Green platform end to the start of Neasden platform in just 63 seconds 1.18 miles average speed over 68 mph
No other comments and 74 mph that old girl sure proved the sceptic wrong I remember in the 1960s 70+ mph through Neasden was a regular thing until British rail caught The A Stock and DMUs were racing each at speeds approaching 80 mph
That was a great send off on the first run from Finchley Rod Wembley Park it raced a 165 approaching Neasden at 65 mph and later on its final run to Wembley Park it reached 65 mph at Willesden Green 69 mph just passed Dollis Hill and got up to 74 mph approaching Neasden it traveled from the end of Willesden Green platform to the start of Neasden platform in just 1m 03sec average speed jus over 68 mph
Great video.☺️ Edit: The Allison AT-545 gearbox on this bus sounds very loud. In fact, it’s one of the loudest gearboxes I’ve ever heard especially on a Plaxton Pointer 2 Dart Euro3 Bus.
There used to be euro 2 buses on route 300 east ham to canning town but in 2010 route 300 made the switch to go ahead and the euro 2 buses were replaced with 10reg euro 4 enviro 200
Overrevving euro_2 Trident with kickdown usage! This actually makes the bus slower as the acceleration is hampered when the bus is holding at the top end of the gear. Very nicely captured.
Brillian love it!, this takes me straight back to my younger days, my first memory of a modern double decker bus was an mcw metrobus, since then no bus has sounded this good. I grew up where edgware and harrow weald operated these buses with metroline, route 186 was the one i was on most frequently.
