At first, Yelp was the anchor for our business. The day we registered 13 years ago, they paid close attention to our growth. While we didn’t see a whole lot of activity for the first eight years, people were finding us and reading every single review that was posted. We didn’t start paying for ads until the ninth year in 2022 because we started seeing a decline in activity. And the day we started this, it’s been like pushing a boulder up a rocky slope. The weird thing is every time we called Yelp, we articulated exactly what and when we observed these problems which would result in a slight and steady increase in business. Then, it flatlined to almost nothing this past year. All the calls we made to Yelp ended in more upgrades, even though the sales rep didn’t know why this was happening. At some point, we started hearing their thoughts on possible causes, one being that our business was seasonal, which it definitely is not. Finally, two reps on different conversations claimed that our business was HIGHLY COMPETITIVE (all caps in an email) and they could only help us if we upgraded to $1,080 a month. I checked out our competition. We have 10. Yesterday, we canceled our ads. Today, I am literally grieving. I feel like we lost a friend. Like someone died.
Hi! Our team noticed that the only version of CapCut that allows direct uploading to RU-vid is CapCut's web version. If you are on the desktop version or in the app, the best way to upload to RU-vid is to export and save the video locally and then manually upload it to RU-vid. Let us know if you have any more questions about CapCut!
Thank you so much. I'm trying to also optimize my strategy in setting up the geographical locations for my ad... I would prefer to limit my service area to places nearby, but when I do that it shows that I may be paying more per click because my geographical area is so limited. Can you shed some clarity on this? Thanks!
Limiting your service area can sometimes increase your cost per click. It's best to pay slightly more for the right customer than less for the wrong customer! With a smaller service area, there is more competition among advertisers since there are fewer people to show your ad to. Ensure your ads are tailored to your target audience, and try running campaigns with different-sized areas to test and see what gives you the best results in terms of clicks, leads, and conversions while staying within your budget. Let us know if you have any more questions!
Hi! Before running ads, make sure both your Yelp and Google Business Profile are optimized. Both are great options for targeting local customers. We can't recommend one over the other but we suggest running tests on each ad platform to learn which performs the best for your company. Please let us know if you have any more questions!
Hello! Try logging into your Google Business Profile and navigating to the Bookings tab to see if the link can be removed; if that does not work, you may have to reach out to Google or Yelp to have them help remove it. Let us know if you have any more questions!
