He was so great at horror. It's a great shame he didn't do more. Also no one mentions the fact that he was the first director as far as I know that used proper cgi effects in innerspace.
I may be in a minority here, but I think The Burbs is one of the only movies that REALLY matters...I mean Carrie Fisher is the mom--who wouldn't want that? Love that movie!
She is such a gracious lady and funny! I love her spirit. She is also very strong and courageous! She was 87 here and held that stupid mic and talked for over an hour without a break! I have so much respect for her. ❤
WHAT A HYPOCRITE! She has several lions living in her home yet criticizes the government later for not stopping others from doing the same. Amazing, she has contradicted herself twice now.
She has said numerous times that she herself should not have been able to do what she did. Considering the steps she has taken since then I'd say she has the right to be vocal about it.
Was kind of hoping for more from this interview. She's lived such a fascinating, full life, but most of the slow paced interview and questions had to do with her work with animals. I just wish there had been equal time devoted to her interesting film career and stardom as a result, ie: how much of the film "The Girl" was truly accurate. I guess I need to buy the book.
The Good: Look at the way she is sitting. Such powerful femininity. God, she was soooo attractive. See her screen tests for the birds. The Curious: Married 3 times. Besides relentless pressure (her side) from Alfred and his crossing the line two times, both of which at the time would not have been prosecuted, one wonders how perfect she wasn't. Alfreds wife was dirt ugly. If beauty was really a motivator for him, his marrying his wife doesn't make sense. The Real Stupid: Allowing a grown lion around her daughter, let alone her self. www.life.com/animals/something-wild-at-home-with-tippi-hedren-melanie-griffith-and-a-400-pound-lion/
