Thank you for this video! I am having this problem and the mechanic at mavis said it’s shaking due to a worn rack and pinion and the vehicle needing new shocks and struts
I have a _2002_ 4Runner SR5 with 235 or wider tires and slighly outset wheels.. so ive always assumed my wobble was due to that. But thus makes me wonder. Are there suggested parts for an 02? T.I.A.
This just happened to me. Brand new Duracell Powerboost Double AA. 4 out of 4 popped in our camera! Same thing! .Wonder if Duracell would buy us a new house if we weren't here when it happened! Wonder if that exploded with a child playing with the toy! freaking scary!
I got no vibrations on my 2010 tacoma. I got the clunk on bumps and the LF axle is loose and i just got it today and i will install the new better bushing next week. Don’t forget, now a days quality is gone and its all about profit. I just don’t know what to get when it time to get a new vehicle
My truck toyota tocoma sr5 2018 starts shaking around 70-80mph or higher also when i drive it around in town its hard to stay at a speed like feels like im moving back and forth from the speed like not a smooth ride
my 2023 TRD Off Road Premium 4Runner did this between 58-65 MPH when I left the dealership brand new. They road force balanced the tires it went away for a few thousand miles then came back. Re-balanced ran smooth as glass, now it's back a few thousand miles later. I have 10K on the vehicle and tires have been balanced 3 times, gets worse again a while after balance again... weird.
@@txivhuabtais7406 had them rebalance again. It happens on certain roads and not others. It has to be tires, I guess just have to rebalance every time I rotate (5K miles)
@@TerryM-hb6sy ok I’m having the same issue on my wife’s 2019 runner and I’m trying to find out the best way to fix it too ..this is a sad sad sad problem about Toyota that not too much people know of
2015 premium trail pushing 75000 mi and I’ve had absolutely no issues other than what I’ve caused off reading. Totally satisfied with my purchase. Everything other than Yoda is constantly at the car doctor.
You've done it cooksey, you have found Jett's flaw! But how do you expose it? It sure didn't hinder Blake Baggett when he was balding at 19 in the 250 class!
The only diff cover that won’t throw off factory spec oil slinging patterns is the banks covers, all the rest end up not properly slinging the oil to where it needs to go.
Thanks for the video, but you are saying that it is happening on 4x4, when it is also happening on 2wd Tacomas. Mine is an 06 2wd and I’ve done the bakes twice and had inspected the bearings inspected since it started so I’m going with the suspension.
@@bbracing3925 the rack bushings is something I should check since it’s connected to the steering column and wheel. I don’t have vibration while accelerating just during braking at highway speeds. So I don’t believe it’s drive shaft related.
It honestly sounded more like it was a tooth or a few teeth off on the driveshaft slip joint. It probably was put back into phase when it was taken off and put back on
It's a known problem with Sc300's their gague cluster's circuit boards start to have malfunctions as they age. There are quite a few companies out there that repair them. My gauge cluster in my car hasn't gotten to that point yet.
What did you end up doing for repair? Just had my 14 f150 with locking diff go threw something similar gears were good but needed a complete overhaul of bearings/race
The customer opted for a used unit, for cost reasons. The carrier bearings and races were shot. The ring & pinion also had unusual lash wear, "probably" from torque on the bad carrier bearings. I do not recommend those aftermarket rear differential covers at all!
