@@coffelita At least we know that they ended up getting the attention needed and have a great adult life with Shapey becoming a police officer and Block a firefighter.
Orel, Shapey and Block's parents are just so vile :( im glad all 3 of them were able to get out of the abuse or at least get to live happier lives (from what is shown in the last episode) also i am not excusing bloberta or anything like that (there are no excuses to be made for her tbh) but i think that Block choosing her over his biological mom might say that in her own twisted way, she was more caring/warm (even if just a bit) than Mrs. Posabule was, which was neat because shapey and block now have each other :D
I noticed that shapeys room is full of dangerous stuff and the parents don’t care, well shapey is a love affair child (aka coach stopframe’s biological son) out of marriage and the mother knows she committed an ultimate sin, so she’s trying to kill shapey by letting him play with dangerous stuff so he gets killed and she won’t feel guilt that he got himself killed instead of her killing him, thus thinking it will save her soul and she won’t burn in hell for it.
Geez, I know the show is dark, but I dunno about it being THAT dark. I always thought it was just Bloberta being her usual apathetic self and Clay not caring because it isn't his son.
And since block's family is similar to shapey's (and it is most likely that blocks mom also had an affair) it makes since when blocks mom just doesn't care and leaves him.
@@Jacksonrox13 neglect is often fatal for children. Regardless of Bloberta's thought process in this hypothetical, the result, whether she wants it or simply doesn't care, is that the child would be at higher risk of being harmed or killed.
@@thatcrazygremlinchild1644 Yeah, I have no idea. I can't even process the morality of it. I'm srill marvelling the idea of it even happening. ho... how is this... I mean I know people are fucked in this world but thats never happened right? Like nobody has ever come to pick up their kid, seen the parent of one staying with them close the door and just, let them stay. ...
and on top of it, clay’s just kind of indifferent to it. he initially thought it was an alcohol-induced hallucination in the mountain goats scene, but after that he’s just kinda like yeah whatever, what’s another kid that isn’t mine. which is in pretty stark contrast to his feelings about shapey being born in beforel orel where he seems genuinely concerned about having another mouth to feed. now he just gives no shits anymore
In the episode "sacrifice" Shapey talks calmly and coherently to Bloberta about how he feels and Bloberta is completely caught off guard, she just freezes.
that mountain goats scene is like one of, if not the most iconic scene in the entire show though. I think the nature rant is the only thing that could rival it.
Orel parents horrible they didn't watch over shapy when do sfutt. Poor Orel go through abuse from half brother sharpy, he alway get blame fir his action.
Orel had a terrible childhood because of abuse from his parents. The parents were abusive because Orwell's Grandparents were abusive to Orwell's Parents. Orwell's Mom was not accepted by her Mom who thought she was lesser than Orwell's Uncle and Aunt leaving her out of the family quire. Orwell's Dad was beaten by Orwell's alcoholic Grandpa who was mad all Grandpa's and Grandma's kids died in Miscarriage losing over 10 kids in the womb.
Covena White I think Clay’s dad was only mad becuz his wife died and not the other kids. And also the problem with Clay’s dad was that he said he wasn’t worth it causing clay to act out to get beaten until it stops. This is why he breaks down crying at the end of the bar scene. He wasn’t worth it
