🎉начала только читать и с удивлением увидела, что в США в 20-е годы в домах было много , если я правильно поняла, вшей и клопов. Или я неправильно поняла? В нашей стране этого добра было много и в 20-е годы прошлого века, и в годы войны и в послевоенные. Но это понятно: войны, нищета, коммунальное жилье, бараки, множество концлагерей. С фронтов и лагерей, конечно, все это распространялось. Но почему-то не думала, что такое было в США
@@PrimeEnglishStories увы, знаний у меня об Америке мало, кажется, речь идет о семье чернокожих, может, еще и поэтому у них такое бедное существование. Что даже дети ели каких-то муравьев и мохнатых то ли гусениц то ли червяков. Меня аж передернуло, хотя я тоже росла в ужасающей нищете, в коммунальной квартире с одним умывальником с холодной водой на три семьи, с печкой, которая все время разваливалась. Дом-то старый, ветхий. Но все же меня поразила бедность и нищета семьи этого маленького мальчика в рассказе. Вызывает жалость и сочувствие
