Born and raised in the Wasatch, I grew up immersed in nature, while also growing up in the suburbs of Salt Lake City. The time I spent recreating in nature evolved into a curiosity around our built environment's relationship with nature. This lead to a career in Real Estate.
Salt Lake City is the thriving city I call home and work within. When I am not creating content around real estate, or working with buyers or sellers, you’ll find me in the foothills of, or up in one of our many canyons. Whether hiking with my dogs, playing disc golf, skiing, or cold plunging in the canyons creeks (not in a restricted watershed), nature is the constant within my life.
Brokered by EXP, I provide agency to homeowners, developers, and agents within real estate who in addition to buying and selling real estate want to also incorporate health and wellness and energy efficiency into their homes.

I think if you're going to give a tour about a city you should do a little research. Just ask a local about the best places to eat on 25th Street. There's even a walking tour you can listen to that tells the history of it and the buildings that you can listen to while walking up and down the street. It's on the Ogden site. It would make you come off as more professional. It's really not that hard.
Ogden is called the crossroads of the west (because of the railroads) not salt lake. It's also the only major utah city not founded by the Mormon church.
Im single. Mid 30s. Can you recommend an apartment in slc area ? Im flying in tomorrow from the east coast. Staying a few days to look around. Im not lds

man a big con to the people who are not used to live 9 months in a row with Snow, is that here in Nothern Utah it won't stop snowing ever. For example, we have been having a storm since yesterday morning and hasn't stop yet, yes, in May..... funny thing is that snow will probably disappear in a couple of days, but in the middle of September it will be back again, yes, it starts to snow in September in Utah... so if you are into outdoor activities that do not involve Snow, this is certainly not a state for you. oh, btw, skiing/snowboarding in Utah is probably the most expensive place in the world to think about practicing one of those winter sports, don't believe me?, check out the Deer Valley resort season passes, the Ikon Pass, the solitude season pass, etc..... good luck trying to afford that here.... I think that something that would make this state perfect would be having the possibility to connect the north with the south (where it barely snows) faster, like with a high-speed train or something like that, but at this point if you decide to live in the south, you are literally in the middle of nowhere, closest airport is 2 hours away and is not even located in Utah anymore...
Great video! My question is what areas should people avoid looking for a home in? I heard the crime downtown SLC is pretty bad. One of the reasons we’re escaping the NYC area.

What I'm worried about is, when I was researching SoCal to move to, the same thing was sold to me regarding surf breaks, being a surfer (I also snowboard). However, as most people in SoCal realize or already know, anything worth doing is extremely overcrowded to the point that you rarely do it. If SLC has 10 amazing ski resorts within an hour, that sounds amazing, but will it become SoCal unenjoyable due to overcrowding or is it already?
Colorado has the worst lift lines that I’ve ever seen. We get really crowded during the holidays but if it’s a holiday and lots of new snow has fallen you can always go to snowbasin, Sundance, powder mountain, or deer valley to get away from the worst lift lines.
I haven't found that to be true at all, not to take away from your experience. Sorry to hear you may have had a really hard experience in SLC. I hope wherever you've landed now you are happy and doing well.

Thank you. Im finally moving out of my parents house and the place I've been most interested in is Utah. I loved it when i visited there, and its been a place I've been longing to go back to ever since. I wasnt sure of the good neighborhoods to moveto, so I appreciate the video

The Great Salt Lake has high levels of metals in it. The drinking for Salt Lake City is clean and really good. I am guessing that is what you're referring to. Our drinking water is really good and isn't contaminated with high metals. Hope that helps!
No offense you should probably not talk about religion if you aren't going to respect people's beliefs. LDS has 90% of the population because of the western expansion but again it's not a con just because you don't believe in Mormonism doesn't mean it's bad. It's like banishing the Amish community like come on.
I appreciate you voicing your opinion. I believe what I mention in the video really highlights the benefits of the LDS community local to Utah but I do see how even labeling it as a con is insulting. I apologize for that, and won't make the same mistake twice.
Mormons are disproportionately represented in the states’ positions and they literally tell their high population percentage how god wants them to vote on issues like medical marijuana during ward meetings. Utah is probably the closest the United States has to being a theocracy. There are good things about Mormons too. The family oriented culture is nice, and it keeps Utah clean and safe. Again, that also feeds into controlling others though (Zion Curtain and all). For most non-Mormons who come to Utah I think they would probably look at it as a con.
actually the LDS church didn't stop wasting water after saying so and thus didn't "give water" and I'm pretty sure "I'm opportunistic" isn't what you wanted to say 😉
It certainly is, but also extremely unlikely because as you also mentioned it would affect the whole west coast. There are many very large companies and a certain religious faction ;) here that have too much money invested in this area to let it get to that state. The fix will be incentivising farmers to use less water and incentivise them to grow crops that use less water. Industry and homeowners use a very small amount of the water that ends up in the Great Salt Lake. When you look at the data the direct impact comes from agriculture.
I used to live in salt lake but then I had to move somewhere else 😢 trying to convince my parents to move back but could we get a house there for like 700 thousand ish
I've lived in SLC's basement, Utah County for 50 years. A protip: If you move to Utah, live in metro Salt Lake City's boundaries. That's where the culturally liberal go.
always bringing the goods man. Its crazy to think some people dont even realize that washer fluid can freeze. And when it does and your stuck behind cars with road spray its a bad combo.
