So glad to hear the land isn't going to be sold for some more apartment buildings. The farmer's market and community spaces sound like a plan to do things right. Just go easy on the parking and take advantage of those old great buildings and natural elements so it's turned into something the whole Lake Orion community can be proud of! Also, it would be a shame if those signs and artwork were removed from the property. They NEED to stay and be integrated as the cornerstones of the overall design.
I used to travel around the country on business trips with William E Scripps II. Bill would regale me with stories about his Grandfather, father and when he lived at the Scripps Mansion as a young boy.
Funny Matt should say, "We are not at a time where we want to be wasting money in court." Is that because we, as a village, have already been wasting tax-payer dollars on a malicious lawsuit against a resident who circulated a petition to get signatures in order to put the issue on the ballot to reduce the amount of tax-payer dollars the DDA could capture, so we could actually pay for infrastructure repairs?

David was an inspiration to all of us. He never once failed to raise the spirits of every single person in the room . I was blessed to have known him. He will be missed.
Indianwood Closure and not having Waldon cut thru complete - has only compounded the mess. All of this should have been done BEFORE taking out Baldwin/Clarkston. Now I am hearing that Clintonville will close - how lovely. This is so poorly planned for those of use in the area. You are forcing all the traffic to Joslyn and the hell that is Lapeer road. The Baldwin/Clarkston should have been delayed a year until these other areas were completed, Its a total mess
The planning for the detours is awful. I'd invite you to drive on Josyln North of Clarkston in the evening rush hour. Living in that area, it takes me 5-7 minutes to go the 0.6 mi to go to my neighborhood. The backup extends all the way to the Indianwood/Josyln intersection. Combining the Clarkston-Baldwin, Waldon-Clintonville Roundabouts and the Indianwood culvert replacement in the same year is just an unreal traffic problem in the immediate area. This stretch is usually only moderate traffic, maybe 5-10 cars deep at the stop sign at peak. It really shouldn't take 30 minutes to get from Brown and Josyln to essentially the Library at rush hour. It would be quite helpful if there was a temporary traffic signal at Indianwood and Josyln with a long left green and same at Josyln/Heights on the east end. You know that's the only way traffic can go.
I'm so happy that you included some of the Community Corner with the Furious Gentleman. The amount of passion and energy that the Community Corner lads brought to the Showdown Live tapings was what made doing shows at ONTV so much fun. My heart is heavy today. Rest easy, David

Interesting that a rehabilitation center for priest would have a tunnel, where I have seen them yelling at kids on the grounds, but it is next to the boyscout camp. Odd? Or has nobody ever questioned this?
