Yeah, looking at those waves in Europe I guess this has to be my new favorite. Of course Nazare is bigger. With more overall water, but but here’s the butt this wave is sick. That’s a slab that’s a grinder that’s heavier.
That ski driver pulled up to his Surfer in the water way too far and the Surfer couldn’t reach the sled. He did it twice. he needs to practice but I know it’s not easy.
With waves this big there's no other way. You can't paddle out there, can't paddle into these monster waves. It's like saying 'having to fly rockets and wear space gear is nature's way of saying : don't explore space'...
@@sandyman_pov thinking that being removed from the impact zone by a jet ski at (of all places) Nazare. in big tow-in surf conditions is somehow incompetence, a failure, irresponsible (or whatever negative thing you think it is), is nature's way of you both exposing the very real fact that neither of you have a clue about big-wave surfing and therefore should probably not be making negative comments about people and a topic you are very obviously completely ignorant of.... 👍😃 🙄
@@aussiesurfer805 Thanks for your assumptions but you know what they say about assuming...In reality, I'm 50 and have been surfing since I was 14. While no, I haven't surfed Nazare, (I'll go out on a limb and say you haven't either, your just flapping your pie hole) I have surfed comfortably in large surf (Only up to15ft Carribean style though) for a good portion of my life and I have been in positions where I was in way over my head. The point I believe the OP was implying, when I made my comment to back HIS opinion up, was If it's too big for you to save yourself under your own power, then yes, you are probably in way over your head and I dgaf if its Nazare or not. This same logic applies to any break in the world with extra large surf. There are some people out that have NEVER paddled into a wave before, or so I have heard...They are only tow surfers!?! What would happen if all the skis ran out of gas at the same time a giant close out set dumped them all? The real surfers would find a way to save themselves and the rest of the tow only (surfers?) would drown most likely... And before you say it, no I'm not against towing into large surf at all. I think its cool. I do think its clownish for non experienced people (not saying the person in this vid is but maybe?) to put themselves in that position though. Take your knee pads off 👸and relax, it's RU-vid, 🐐🤡
