You have to be willing to try and not be afraid to mess up. Every mistake is a lesson and every lesson makes you better than you were yesterday. We are all capable of great things but analysis paralysis is killing the younger generations. You are capable of everything you see others do. You just have to step out of your comfort zone and take a risk. My MIL always tells me "is there anything you can't do" I always reply with "there are a lot of things I can't do, but there is nothing I won't try to do myself first." Get in the shop, try something new. Buy a new tool. No one went out and spent $20k on tools, they buy them over years one at a time when they need them.
Why are you running a 5/32 or 1/8 rod for thin metal? Doing this is going to give you slag inclusion. Idk what your welding together.. but it should be done correctly. I don’t care if it’s holding milk cartons.
