They played everything from this record straight through last night in Seattle. This one is--ouch--too close for comfort. Not that I cried, uhh, OK I did cry. I did.
Me neither. Actually, I signed up for Amazon Music Unlimited and all tracks of the album were available: This and Time. So, I was like, "I don't need another streaming service, but if it means more access, I'll pay the $10/month." Then, I went back into the app on my phone a couple of hours later, and those two songs were grayed out! WTF! Amazon Music's main page says, "Listen to any song, anywhere." Yeah, right!
i've been a fan of animal collective for nearly 2 decades... i thought this song was about the loss of childhood.... only just yesterday did i realize its about a miscarriage.... holy fuck. god bless avey tare.
i remember the first time i heard this. i was quietly listening to a black midi album on spotify, when the album ended out of nowhere this song came on and i was like, "this is not a black midi song?" but i loved it so i wanted to know who the band was. i read their name and it said "faraquet", i wanted to listen to their whole album. it was BEAUTIFUL. Sadly I don't know much about them or why sadly they only have 2 albums and one single. I want to know more about them and I want more people to hear about them. ❤
My favorite band by far! Seen them 3 times live! Yes this is best representation of post rock. Not many other bands can pull it off. Heavy influences from Talk Talk Laughing Hyaena and Bark Psychosis Hex
this album stays with me since years and will stay til the very end, my idea of perfect loneliness, rarefied chants for who is no longer there and a repetitive beat to keep alive who's still here. amazing, absolutely amazing work. grazie!
