... when a storm rolls in .. some say don't be afraid .. why ? .. its our fathers ... mothers and grabdparents and those who served in the military marching home ... its their way of telling us they're coming home
I, too, came here after reading The Daily Bread. I was trying to make up some devotions I had missed, and I’m glad I did! I think I’m going to request this song be played at my funeral!❤️🙏
As a trumpet player, I always think of what that final fanfare will sound like. This song says it all! If you are reading this, please pray for more people to come to Jesus. If you don't believe in God or salvation through the Blood of the Lamb, why not ask God (sincerely) to show you. If He isn't real...nothing will happen. But if you ask with a sincere heart, something will happen, that your human mind can't explain. You have nothing to lose by asking.❤
I notice that a few folks have referred to their 'Our Daily Bread Ministries' biblical reading & the reference to Johnny Cash & this song. I read mine just a few moments ago & wow, what a blessing. Johnny Cash is my Mum's favourite singer but her cognitive function is diminished following a catastrophic fall in 2022. Now in a nursing home, she requires full time care & went from independence to requiring full time care due to one slip & trip. Yesterday was her 80th birthday & whilst she smiled throughout the day, she doesn't know where she is & often drifts in a confused way into past times. Despite my faith, I felt tearful today because I miss the robust & fiercely independent Mum of old. Johnny Cash was her favourite singer. So when I read today's message I immediately wanted to hear the lyrics of this hymn afresh. It sums up everything we need to know about the promise of God's resurrection & redemptive message, in the midst of human fragility & health decline. Before too long we may have the blessing of hearing Johnny's vocals alive again. Now wouldn't that be a joyous musical celebration!! Blessings to all & particularly to those inspired by today's reading & verse. From Aberdeen, Scotland 🙏
When you look at all the hell Johnny Cash went through here on earth it just makes sense that upon his conversion to become a follower of Jesus Christ it should give anyone hope
I never heard this song until I read the daily word this morning. I love Johnny Cash so I thought I’d take a listen. Makes me think of my dad who just passed on.Ain’t no grave holding him down❤.
I can only repeat what has already been written. After reading my morning Daily Word, and the mention of Johnny Cash's final song, I had to listen and reflect . Thank you Johnny for such a revelant song of hopeful truth. I know you're enjoying Heaven
I too read the same thing in Our Daily Bread this morning and had to come listen. I am a Johnny Cash fan, and ant believe I never heard his last album. I was recently saved again, about 2 months ago, and this song just hits differently when you know the Lord. 🕊🙏🏻😇
