Hey, I have a 2018 XSE, I bought kit with the blue wire.. just left it unused. I have the positive for the fog lights into one fuse, the positive for the DRLs in the other fuse like you've stated in other comments. Have you experienced the DRLs will randomly turn on through the day even if the car is off and locked? I was thinking on switching what wire goes to what fuse to see if that worked but I didn't want to damage anything.
Hmmm...that's weird...it should only come on when you start the car since your red positive wire is hooked on the ecu fuse...I don't notice mines doing that..
Hey man could you tell me which wire on your headlights you connected the yellow turn signal wire to? I did the installation and the only thing I’m missing is the turn signals. We have the exact same model of car
You have to unplug your turn signal socket from your car...find a light meter to see which one is your turn signal..put the yellow wire into that and plug your socket back on .
Is the fog light button stay on even when you turn off the fog lights and turn off the car? Mine does. It’s the white light within the button that does. Checking the wiring is correct: For the drls the black is the ground, the red goes into the red a10 (efi no.01) fuse. For fog lights the black is the ground, and the red on the positive side of the battery. Is that wired correctly?
Yes...if you wire the red wire to the battery. The fog light switch will stay on...instead wire the red wire to your 10amp ecu2...it will only come on when the engine is on.
I have the DRL and not the turning signals :( , where did you connect the yellow wire ? Most videos I find are for the other headlight with the bulb but we don’t have that one
Tij laus kuv nyiam zaj nkauj no kawg. You did a great job. Koj lub suab zoo heev. Voltage is my all time favorite band. And your cover is my favorite now. Can I have your permission to use your cover song in one of my personal video that I am making for my beautiful wife?
@@gregoireansari6651 I already said I don't know the link...I bought it of Ebay...wishing someone Corona...you must be a fun and caring person...idiot..
If after you plug the fog lights to the connector and it doesn't work...sometimes they screw up the wiring and wire it backwards...try to take a razor blade and trim the inside of the plastic plug socket so that you can reverse the plug in...that might help.
I took a metal clothe hanger straightened it sharpen one end ...duck tape the wires to it and pushed it through the rubber firewall. Grab from inside and wired to the switch. Just take out the empty slot and put the fog lights switch in place.
@@matthewjones8529 you have to get the wires through the firewall first...after that it's plug and play for the switch....I recommend you splice the wire so it's easier to go through the firewall. After that you can reconnect wire to your plug.
@@73lauj Did yours have 4 wires coming off the switch? If so how did you hook those up? Mine has 4 wires that has a plug on it and that plugs into the switch.
I didn't buy the version with the blue wire...I've seen videos of the version with the blue wire. You might want to go check those videos out..good luck.
The DRL and turn signal are one unit...the power wire (red) would have to be attached to the ignition fuse in the fuse box and black wire to a ground of your choice...the DRL will come on when the car is turned on. For the turn signal wire (yellow) you will need a light volt meter to find your turn signal when you unplug the the headlight socket and try to connect the yellow wire to that pin while you snap the socket back together keeping the wires connected to the pin... there is other RU-vid videos which shows how too.
