Absolutly love the new tech implemented into these! But so sad they are C8 style, they take away from the identity of the C7 :( Really wish they were in the OEM style but with all that new tech, same for the tails.
@@MorimotoLighting the ones I mention has built-in resistor with similar wattage compare to XB resistor free. And one of them has an integrated cooling fan. I would love to see which is the best and the brightest out of them. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
@MorimotoLighting Now my niece hasn’t got her vehicle yet because she’s still young, but she’s few years left before her first vehicle. And she wants a 3rd gen Toyota Tacoma four banger base but not too base model. I already know what she’s gonna get from different reputable brands that I will recommend. And that is Auxito, Lasfit, and Sylvania zevo, and maybe a little bit of auxbeam and GTR-Lighting. But for low beams. Auxito - Y13? Or Morimoto - 2stroke 4.0?🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔 H11 style.
@@MorimotoLighting both of them are great options no doubted about it. The Y13 is reliable. But with higher price, it’s tough. Then again, that lifetime warranty is something that my niece won’t ever have to worry about led bulb burned out. And that’s a must. 🤟🏼🤟🏼🤟🏼❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
Looks like you compared your headlight output to a 997.1 which are halogen. The 997.2 has different headlights, Bi-Xenon. What's the difference in output there?
Great question! We didn't test the 997.2 Bi-Xenon headlights directly, so I can't provide a comparison for the output difference. However, we based our comparison on the 997.1 halogen setup since it's a more common point of reference. If we get the opportunity to test the 997.2 Bi-Xenons in the future, we'll be sure to share the results!
I’m not understanding why it keeps focusing on the wheel? Is the fog light installed in the wheel? What about in front of the vehicle where the light is going and what I’m trying to see?
The Morimoto pods are designed to be compatible with a lot of other brackets, not just Morimoto products. Because of the versatility we design and include in the products we make, it is likely you could mount other pods on our tube mount brackets.
@@MorimotoLighting and in ur opinion, for flood led light type, is it better for putting the flood pod lights as a roof lights? Or light bar? And is there a led light bar that’s only flood?
I am interested in purchasing a set as well as the Fang lights. Do you have a video on how to install both options together? I've only found Fang videos connecting them to OEM headlights. Thank you!!
We don't have a video on that specific install, but since we did a similar install I'm sure we can give you some pointers! Shoot us an email - benchmark@morimotolighting.com
Just installed the Evo and I have to say they are a big improvement over my old XB's. Light output is much improved and design/looks are very very nice.
@MorimotoLighting Since Morimoto coveres all Toyota H11 fog lights. They even have Toyota matrix H11 fog lights but there’s nothing for Scion models that uses H11 fog lights. Such as 2008-2015 Scion xB. So if that’s the case, can I select and use those Morimoto - XB EVO+ that’s made for 2nd gen Toyota matrix, into my 2nd gen or gen 2.5 Scion xB?
These are the 4Bangers in Wide White and Wide Yellow! You can decide which pods you want here: www.morimotohid.com/Morimoto-4Banger-LED-Fog-Lights-Ford-Raptor?quantity=1
@@MorimotoLightingI want the exact setup in this video. Did u say it is wide white x2 and wide yellow ncs standard light without up charge? Btw…just installed the XB headlights….frigin awesome!!!! Ordering the Xbox taillights soon also. Keep making quality product!
I just got my Morimoto - 2banger NCS combo white pod lights, and mound them as a universal ditch lights on my 2015 lifted Scion xB. And I truly love it. With my Lasfit - LA plus 9005 high beams, and my pod lights. What an incredible light output is. But now that I have 2banger, I have the access to change the beam pattern TIR lens. And I wanna get two colors of white and amber. I wanna try the SAE wide beam pattern on my ditch lights. That’s gonna give me a nice full width. When it’s winter time, I’ll switch again to amber wide ditch light lens. While I use my Lasfit - LD plus switchback in 3000k. Now that would be the ultimate goal for weather warrior ❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
I’m still gettin people commenting about after I respond. No such thing as too bright. I get a respond saying not if they coming at u. Wrong. U get blinded by either people have a very poorly aligned beam pattern, or they are using the wrong type of led. For lifted trucks that’s understandable. But in general, we don’t get issues. Especially vehicles that’s equipped with led is a known issue. Again. No such thing as too bright.
After installing these, one important step. Probably want to drop the spare if you want to preserve the wire clips. There’s one clipped right behind the spare and there’s basically 0 room to work with. Couldn’t get it off even with trim removers. Not enough leverage. Or if you don’t care you can always cut that one and not put it back. I see no harm in that. Also, zip ties. The harness provided is a little too long. You’re going to want to zip tie a bit to keep it clean.
For street-legal use, only the SAE Wide Beam pattern is SAE-compliant and approved for fog light use on public roads, as it meets the necessary standards for on-road visibility without causing glare to other drivers. The Wide Beam is designed specifically for low-speed, inclement weather conditions like fog, rain, and snow, providing a wider spread of light closer to the vehicle. While other beam patterns like the Spot Beam or Combo Beam are great for off-road and highway driving, they are not SAE-approved for street use.
