Overland car camping in my Jeep Wrangler JKU Rubicon in a rooftop tent, backpacking, or staying in a survival shelter... I enjoy it all! history, survival, preparedness, gear, and exploring are all a part of how I enjoy experiencing the back country.
On my channel you will find content on overland car camping adventures, finding and exploring abandoned historic sites, experimenting with quality gear, developing survival skills, bug out theory, and even a little bit about prepping and my firearms.

My family homesteaded right below Stein's pillar! The Demaris and Birdsong family. You wouldn't believe the photos I have of them right below the pillars! First mill in prineville was operated (there hints "mill creek" 😁) and ran by them. Build Many of the first homes in the Ochocos and Prineville area!

I think I would want some sort of hard container. PVC pipe works well. I think I would vacuum pack everything that goes into the container. Vacuum sealers are fairly cheap these days. If you think you need to bury survival caches, then it seems worth something more protective. Also, there is a former Green Beret on youtube who goes into great detail about caches, to include cache reports.
I would never go in the woods without my 44 magnum and my shotgun! Also my 45 auto as back up having encountered packs of coyotes and other large apex predators, many times .
It’s good to have different options. Rooftop tents can make the car top-heavy. As you said it’s good to be able to drive the car without having to put the rooftop tent down. Swags definitely have some great benefits without having to set up a full tent.
Hey thanks for the video. Was looking for a video on how to set up just a range belt and not necessarily a battle belt. I like the idea of not having to put the belt through the loopholes of your pants. That’s definitely quicker and will save some time. Does it tend to stay up well when you’re running around and moving?
I am 63 and my level 5 longer term back pack is a 70 lbs load. I use a e bike for my beast of burden. Not to mention that I can carry a month of food. Rifle, fishing gear, ammo and other stuff. Great video thanks for your knowledge and care.

I just purchased an old army 20 gauge break barrel and it is literally identical to this gun in every way so I’m assuming they’re just purchased from turkey and being re-branded?? Before i watch this video . Answer is yes . I hike in Allegheny National Forest with a hatsan piledriver .50 cal , and a 26.5 mm flare system . Stay strapped in the woods ❤
@@Marksgunsandgear 800 FPE in a .50 cal air rifle . Black powder .45 ACP produces 600 FPE foot pound energy , absolutely gonna kill bears. Google hatsan piledriver vs bear and see the hunting videos . Killing water buffalo. But yeah , you’re right . None of the series I filmed either . It’s an airgun. Not a hunting one :) you’re right .
@@TahmL yes that is true about the power however since the piledriver is a single shot bolt action you have to hit what your aiming at or your dead I’d rather have a semi auto .22lr than a single shot .50 airgun

Discovery channel should make a show like alone. But I stead of just sending people out in the jungle with almost nothing, they get to build their own long term bug out bag. And then send them out to remote locations for a month and see how many would actually survive. Or just send a few guys out to different locations and make it a contest to see who survived the longest for a cash prize. I'd actually watch that one
