i lived about a mile away my dad used to play lawn bowling where the carpark is now [1972] it was just a lane and all fields back in the day a real country pub that you could get a aneaky pint from the land lord if he knew you pint in at 15
My dad used to drink there & be part of the nowling team. ( the biwling green was turned into a car park) i have fond memories of the wooden hut that was used for the team.
this pub has seen better days but now its gone down hill there is fencing encased around it it just looks dull wonder if they are going to do a refurbishment or demolish it completely 😞
I absolutely uttley loved this pub every Friday and Saturday night best days of my life with my memories with my friends that I no longer see I was gutted to see it go
It's kinda heartbreaking to see it boarded up. I used to stay there regularly with my Youth Theater...almost 20 years ago, now! I could still draw a map of what it looks like inside - there's no pool, not in the main building, but I could still today draw a map of the dorms, the kitchens, the underground rooms and corridors.... I could describe how it smelled, if you gave me a minute. XD
@@liamfogarty6724 last time i went there, a couple weeks ago, there were construction workers and everything in there. it's also been made a pokestop on pokemon go
