Hi, being a Runrig fan, I have just discovered Tide Lines after being on Rothesay for the past two weeks. What would folk suggest is the best album to buy?
I first heard this song while driving around the Isle of Skye with my wife. We have been married almost 38 years and are spending 2 weeks on Skye for our vacation. We are staying in the Laundry cottage on the grounds of Dunvegan castle. As the July sun was setting and shone its reddish-orange light on Dunvegan Castle, the beauty of this island, your music, the love I feel for my wife, and all of our years together all hit me at once. The tears are flowing now as these lyrics in this place at this time overwhelm me... PLEASE release this acoustic version...
Thank you so much for this beautiful performance, Tidelines i adore all your work. I have been so depressed for years because I thought I might die alone. For years I have refused to let myself listen to your music because it reminds me of the man who I fell in love with over ten years ago. Long story short he asked me to marry him on new years day morning as we walked home from Harris to Scalpay, it was the cutest thing anyone had ever said to me and my answer was yes in a heartbeat. We had spent the whole night talking after meeting at the hogmanay ceilidh. Anyway he decided i wasn't the one he wanted any more. Your whole band have God given gifts. I adore how the band played without a drunken audience so i could actually distiguish you lyrics, your intonation is amazing as a fellow. I prophesy over you that your music will be heard in every nation and that you will bring Scotland a reputation so good that people travel the globe to see you perform in your homeland.
