Hey there! Although the jetski / Sea-Doo portion of our videos took off, we buy run down classic ATVs and restore them the best I can. After or during restoration, I will test them to see how they perform. Enjoy!
Oh so you use the spark! Why not the blaster or the jammer for this video? Scared of falling in aren't ya? you needed old boring stable Mble for this video huh?😂😂🥶🥶🥶
@@WeTryMotorsports 🤣🤣🤣 yep! I have friends that were practicing for the world's and said come ride. I own a superjet and a blaster. I said no thanks I'm a wuss to cold and I don't feel like getting wet haha. My season was over shortly after labor day 🤣
@@Kipitrl pwcmuscle has a pretty sweet 12/14 combo with their own tune (110) for 499 total. If you already have the impeller, I think reliable has the ability to get the 120hp tune as well but i wouldn't shoot for that unless you have the ability to switch it back easily. Keep in mind, the 12/14 is better for top speed, the 12/17 is better for holeshot and the tune improves the throttle response primarily with a little more top end. I'm not 100% on reliable tuning, but i've heard mixed things. i can speak for pwc muscle though, they know their stuff.
I’m right there with you man. These things are unaffordable. It doesn’t help that the dealers stick an extra $600-$1500 as a prep fee. It takes one guy a few minutes to put these things together. They’re not building them if it took two people all day it’s still wouldn’t come up to $600 on the low end and definitely not $1500 on the high end I called a dealer about a ski a few weeks ago and they had $2500 in prep fee destination charges and dealer fees. No thanks!
There is not way I would do any kind of offshore fishing on a seadoo spark. That is the most unstable ski in the lineup. Also if Gen Z and millennials don't have disposable income they shouldn't be trying to buy jetskis. They should be making better decisions imo
@@BrettHankins-m4v I enjoy offshore fishing on the spark, works great for me. a video or two ago I did it again lol. also, there can be cheaper skis for entry level market. genz and millennials are the next generation that are entering the pwc market. without appealing to them, the industry will die. there NEEDS to be entry level skis that are aggressively priced or the industry will simply die off.
@@WeTryMotorsports took a quick look at your video. On a glass day you can fish on just about anything. You are better off on a kayak than you are on a spark IMO. That platform simply isn't made for fishing. You have no storage, one jerry rigged rod holder and no ability to carry any gear just isn't what most fishermen want in a "fishing" jet ski.
@@BrettHankins-m4v go into my video list and type "sea doo spark fishing" I have about a bunch of them including one where I built a full rig on the rear of a spark with a cooler. it works great for fishing. I have a Hobie Outback Fisherman model and I can tell you for sure the spark is more comfortable to fish off of. this is speaking from experience. have you been a spark?
@WeTryMotorsports what ever it is its a step in the right direction for sure. Now we need kawi to join in and bring back the 90s style skis and not focus on a 30k pwc lol
this is a Great video. i love the old atv. i just had a 1997 honda fourtrax 300 2x4 given to me. i Love the older machines because they are built with High quality. i like how you make your videos. i just subscribed to your channel and i hit the bell thing too. :)
@@astroo7079about 6k each is about going rate end of seasons.... I'd say if super clean 12k at best. These are used skis at the end of the day. If there's a year or two left on warranty then it's decent.
Need to use the lock washer or eventually the terminal will come loose, happen to me hours from home, don't cut corners , not worth it ! Never rev the engine at full throttle. Unless it's in the water, Also, you can run the Spark with out a water holes for 30 seconds, I do it all the time, if the water box was to get too hot don't worry, it has a sensor and will been loud !!
My dad bought a Big Bear new in 1996, so I’ve spent decades on that rig. In the mid 2000’s I bought a 98 Kodiak for the extra cc’s and rode that a few years. Both had diff lockers installed for the extra traction in the swamps and the ability to crawl over down trees, etc. These things are perfect for our land and the jobs we use ATVs for. Everything we do requires a lot of snort, never a need for more than 15, 20 MPH. It’s shocking to me that you’d take a work machine like this off a jump. Twice. Just seems like taking a tractor off a jump.
@@Dan-in-the-Wild awesome story there! glad you got some nice work horse machines. I take all my machines off the jump for fun. I like to test all aspects of it!
Definitely NOT the BEST BIKE EVER! By ANY MEASURE! Motor is extremely UNDERPOWERED, the bike is EXTREMELY heavy, if your battery dies DONT EVEN THINK you will be able to peddle it home! LOL Between the resistance from the direct drive Hub and EXTREME WEIGHT, it is like trying to peddle a TANK! This bike is good for a LIGHT person (under 200lbs) that rides on FLAT terrain, HILLS KILL this thing FAST! Oh and by the way the company discontinued it!
sounds like you got a dud or weigh far above the recommended weight limit. I pedaled it multiple times home just because I wanted to and it was pretty damn easy. for the price there's nothing better sounds like you need a motorcycle. 1500w is actually above legal limits. 750w is the maximum in most States.
@@WeTryMotorsports well I do have a motorcycle and possibly it was a "Dud" it was junk from the company did discontinue it a few weeks after i received mine. At 230lbs i was well below the max weight. I ordered and received my 2025 Raptor by cyber bike 100x Better only weight 60lbs powerful mid drive just sooo much better.
I have the 24 FPT and this is my biggest complaint. I love the product but no OEM trolling motor options seemed like an oversight for the entire lineup.
Awesome video! The 4 Mile River and Long Island Sound are such great spots for a ride - there’s some fantastic fishing out that way too! And if you love a good adrenaline rush, the go-karts nearby are a must-try. Btw, that Sea-Doo Spark reminds me of an old rusty Toyota - not because it’s slow, but because it’s reliable and can take a beating! Unlike the Toyota though, the Spark is nimble, quick, and way more fun on the water. It’s like upgrading from a clunker to a thrill ride. Keep the content coming!
Just to give everybody a heads up, make sure you extract the oil right where the oil filter is as well. You have to hold the throttle wide open and start it while pumping. If you have the throttle wide-open, it will not start and that’s the key. You just want it to crank . Not start! Do that a few times and you will see all of the oil start rise.
@@WeTryMotorsports Thats insane. Yeah at full throttle it only consumes about 2.8 GPM, a 2-stroke 587 with 55 Horsepower consumes double that but has less weight
@@cameraman1234567890 there's so many positives i highlight on the sparks over the years. i just keep coming back to it for a REASON. the fisher's island video we did a 40 mile trip on the channel. absolutely nuts. the 587 we had felt like an absolute snowmobile on the water but SO much fun as well. it whips right around haha. but yeah, i wouldn't trust that across the ocean like we do with the sparks.
@@WeTryMotorsports Believe it or not the first ski to cross the atlantic ocean was a 2000 xp 951 I believe that got a whopping 450 hours on it from the trip
@@Yeeto767 you'd really have to try it in order to get the hype. I have to admit I was not so fond of the idea at first until I got on one and tried it. it's a blast but it's not $30,000 unless it was geared out like a full-on fishing boat.
Don't want to turn on the jetski and troll around in very shallow water... Have I got the solution for you... Wait for it... An anchor or rope to turn you into the anchor or attachment point to keep the water craft near you and here's the best part... Wading boots... It's shallow water you don't have to motor through it you can walk it's a crazy concept. But it works really well especially in South Florida because you get the added benefit of cooling yourself off I guess if you could modify one of those small electric motors they use on kayaks to fold up and out of the way and ideally hidden somewhere and then pop it out as a trolling motor so you could stay elevated to scout flats or whatever before blind casting or wading around I guess I could see that being kinda cool if it was done right.. but hidden while not in use I think is key because for real if I was out on the water and saw a jet ski with a trolling motor I might die laughing, or worse might not die laughing but would accidentally run you over because Id have to get a closer look but I would probably still be laughing so hard I might not be able to see
Just install the Minn Kota. Come on! If you can, buy an Apex Jet Ski; it shouldn't be a problem. 😅 I saw a few Sea-Doo Trophy and FishPro models with Minn Kota already installed.
Having spot lock, remote control, ete would definitely make it a more stealthy, well-rounded fishing machine. But I don’t know why they try to market this ski like you should be using this in tight spaces in back-waters, lakes, rivers, etc as a replacement for a bass boat or even a high-end kayak. Why do you need a 300hp motor and a built-in livewell for that kind of fishing? This ski seems to better suit the needs of the hardcore offshore fisherman who wants to run and gun, duck storms, and get out to spots 10+ miles out faster than anyone else. And the trolling functionality that already exists on the ski should work fine for that. Instead of showing it on a nice calm river on the front page, they should have Emmanuel Williams doing a backflip on this thing while holding up an 80lb wahoo. However, for that kind of fishing the swivel seat isn't necessary, so I see your point there. And for $30k out the door I agree, the ski shouldn't be geared for only for a specific kind of fishing. Ideally it should be an all-in-one versatile fishing machine. But excluding the trolling motor doesn't mean there isn't a market for it either. But hey, any least the front rails will hopefully make it easier to install a TM mount with a quick release bracket haha.
I installed a stainless RIVA Racing wear ring so basically what I did solace I had a rub was take the prop off and keep the wear ring and seal on and used a 2x4 and hammer and tapped it even in on either side out the prop back on and had no issues
a 27k switch compact fish would have been ideal. 45k entry price is killing an entire segment that would have been interested. The tiny boat crowd kills the market for the Apex.
😨Yamaha’s poised to crush the competition! ⚠The TR1 engine has the power to reign supreme! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-I6PsuPuuHdM.html
Yeah it's trolling mode/setting speed mainly targetting trolling lines behind for faster fish but not the kind for bass type fishing. I completely understand the oversight, for sure. Maybe they will create an add-on in the future
@@xxdanthedinoxx1058 yes, I remember you asked me that. i sure did, I still have photos of it from long ago. it was the early 90s version. slow as balls and flat bottom. was a lot of fun but very slow very heavy very flat bottom. 🤣
You HAVE to get one. It's far more like a stand-up than a WB1. I'd say more like a X2 than anything... but still different. just a wild ski. Yami needs to make something like this today. what a crazy fun ski
Crying over luxury toys you can't afford because you can't grow your channel because you complain too much is a vicious cycle that will eventually force you to go back to selling furniture and appliances at Costco. Unlike you, there are millions of American consumers who have two income families of four that can manage to somehow save enough from their budget to buy pairs of these relatively inexpensive recreational vehicles for cash. Get a real job, yo.
in another one of my other videos i do a top speed run with it. fastest i believe was 56mph but it was under the best circumstances. the typical was 52-54mph on a normal choppy day
