Thank you so much for sharing this. This was the first year since my husband passed and the first year I learned how to use my lawn mower. Thank you so much for your video last weekend. I replaced my deck belt by myself and found it easy. Thank you. I am not afraid anymore to do things myself.
Do you have a video on how to lubricate pto "pivot? Pto handle would not move and disconnected cable & spring from pulley bracket and handle moves cable freely. Seems to be friction at bracket pivot through deck. Thanks for help in getting this lubricated.
Hey, whatever works I call it being a dad and trying to save the day for your kids. I would just put maybe something over that so that they don’t get splinters.
I was watching your video, I picked up this mower cheap and needed to replace most of the springs and belt, your video helped showed the location and how to install new-belt, and springs which I have. Great job on video I followed it completely worked like a charm. now good to go! thank you very much:)
Honestly country music died in the 90's you kids today don't have a clue, so sad thankfully I was Born in 1960 grew up with no cell phones vid games y'all today are the pussiest generation that ever existed sorry but it's the truth
Nice video. I need to do the exhaust gasket on mine. Did the valve cover gasket last year without removing the heat shield.....I'm sure removing it would have been helpful but it isn't necessary.
Thanks for this video man, it helped alot, instead of removing the primary clutch i drilled a 3/4” hole through the plastic cover in order to get to the bolt thats behind it,
Thanks for video. Kohler engines suck. Same valve cover issue too. The vibration it produces and the bolts they use always have a tendency to fall out. I have had to retighten the exhaust bolts several times to ensure the muffler doesn't rattle so loudly. Unfortunately the metal in the pipe finally cracked and broke apart so I debating on just getting a new mower or whatnot.
At 11:00 minutes you show the 'L' bracket' under the idler pulley, being mounted on top of the main mounting bracket. It should be underneath that mount being held by the bolt that holds everything together. the short side of the 'L' should be touching the deck.
Thanks for the video, is there any adjustments to make the belt a little tighter ? I just replaced the same belt with the correct part number ,it's flopping more than it should ,
I was looking for a video showing the removal of the spring and engaging cable.... Thanks, it looks like I can do that...Good video...I have the Cub Cadet LTX 1042, same set up...
3 screws on each deck belt cover as grass will push the cover up that gets caught under them . The new cub cadest at least have the new covers that don't allow that to happen They are metal and have openings to allow grass to be pushed out . I am having problems with the belt coming off and the screws to the belt holders keep coming down and rubbing on the pulleys . I ordered the new covers for my 2016 cub cadet hydrostatic since the screw holes match it . I am hoping that will solve the problem of the belt coming off while mowing . I also had to level the deck side to side
Are the covers just to keep the user from stepping or knocking something into the pulleys and damaging them? Half tempted just to keep mine off. I get the grass build up as well.
@@beerleagueeverything8030 if you take the covers off the belt keeps coming off . I tried it and belt kept coming off , The metal posts in the covers hold the belt . I hate the plastic covers as they just hold grass that is hard to get out . But found out not as much grass got stuck under the covers when I changed to gator blades and cleaned the underside of my deck and applied slip plate graphite to keep grass from sticking to the underside
@@beerleagueeverything8030 your welcome and plus I ruined 1 belt by taking the covers off . So glad I could help . Try slip plate graphite under you take I have been a fan of it since my son who owns a towing company uses it on his flatbed tow trucks . It is a little expensive for a quart but 1 quart will do 2 lawnmowers and lasts for years and that is doing 3 coats and still some left over so did mny push mower and still sme left . I got my can on e bay
Thank you!! I can relate so much. Im 22, I just bought my first car 5 months ago, it's a 1998 Mercury Grand Marquis and it drives beautifully. But I work night Audit for hotel so I ran a few errands last night within the hour before work and must have run something over because this morning when I was going to drive home I noticed both tires on the passenger side of the car were flatt. And of course no key for the car. Being in a small town with no local bus or taxi, and my job is in the boonies away from my home I prefer not walking back and forth to work. You saved me a pain for sure
